We happened upon this cosy restaurant when wandering down the street. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The food was incredible- freshly cooked, succulent chicken Kiev, excellent sides and friendly service. English menus too. Absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Bien situé dans le centre de la ville de SOUZDAL j'ai bien aimé cet hôtel - restaurant situé dans lâanneau dâor. C'est un excellent pied à terre pour visiter aux alentours le petit village médiéval, reconstitué en un musée en face de la rivière Kamenka, la cathédrale de la Nativité, le monastère de Notre-Sauveur et Saint Euthyme. Les chambres sont vastes et bien éclairées, leur style est vintage, les meubles sont conçus pour évoquer ou ressembler à des objets d'époque (néo-rétro). Le lit, comme dans tous les hôtels en Russie, est spacieux et bien confortable. Le dîner typiquement russe fut servi dans ambiance chaleureuse, d'autant plus que la soirée fut animée par un trio de musiciens et une chanteuse tziganes!

As we follow the Lent Season (the period before Easter, when it's not allowed to eat meat, fish, eggs, milk, etc), so we were trying to find the best place to et what is allowed. The most tasty food we found there. They offered good salads, borsch with dried plums and great Russian style ravioli with white mushrooms. I don't like places like this - very official and in classical style. But, honestly, it was the best Lent food we eat in Suzdal. And the price is very reasonable (our bill for two, no alcohol was about 50 dollars).

Excellent coffee, excellent omlet, borcsh, pelmeni, blini - yummy!Two years ago and this time again - yummy!Prices - !!!Big bonus - very clean.A bit dark inside, but the location is the most central.And to finish, every time we were served very fast and in the most pleasant way. You need it to get back on track!As it starts at midday, better to reduce 'Il primo collazione' to the advantage of 'Il secondo'. In other words, an excellent place for lunch.

If you want to try delicious Russian food in Suzdal at very good price, THIS IS THE PLACE..!!Prices are very good, the food is delicious, and the personal is very friendly.There is one lady that will give you samples of drinks for free and you can decide if buy or not the drinks (all of them very Russian and delicious)I don't know how this place doesn't have more reviews, worth to visit if you are in Suzdal

We expected the food to match the setting - WRONG. Worst borsch we had in Russia - pork stew with bread topping had to be sent back because the center was cold. Not much taste and high prices. Cannot recommend

Having lunch that, everything tradition from waitress dressing, interior design, TV program, alcoholic honey drink, home made cheese to colourful mixed dumplings, except lunch payment with credit card but not barter :P Value for money, two person lunch spent RUB1500
