As we were enjoying our stay at the Veliy Hotel in Moscow going to the Veliy Hotel Suzdal's restaurant - conveniently located in the centre of town - seemed like a fine way to end our day trip to Suzdal.Only had time for a soup and a drink - the soups (pea, fish) were very tasty and service and cleanliness (including toilets) impeccable. After a bad experience at TripAdvisorâs higher rated restaurant we tried this local, popular eatery and were pleasantly surprised. Great food and great welcoming staff. We loved their local dishes especially the cod, salmon and meatballs. Weâve been back several times during our five night stay. So glad we found it plus the setting is great. It should score much higher on TripAdvisor. Cost is reasonable too.

Been here twice. Good beer selection (both on tap and bottles). Nice bartenders)) 2 things that would make this place perfect: a) beer should be colder b) it should take less time to tap it (now it takes time because of the foam). Aside from that awesome place )

Atmosphere is nice, that's about it. First, our waitress was freakin as rude as they come in Russia. She waited like we were a thorn in her side. There was one gent who was really nice. We got our food at different time and one in our party had to wait fifteen minutes after the others had finished to get his food. This seemed to really irritate our waitress, as she became even meaner. The food was greasy, salty, and oily. Finally, I had to pay with a 5000 ruble note and she said it was fake. Everyone else around was saying it was good. She slapped it down and shrugged her shoulders and asked, "what?" And she gave me the Russian-lady stare down. Finally, the nice gent said to her to accept it. Left feeling really angry. The other places we ate at in Suzdal were all quite friendly. Great way to make people not want to eat here.

We ate here twice and every dish was excellent. A fresh twist is given to classics like milk mushrooms and all dishes like the pork neck and the stuffed quail are prepared on the premises with quality ingredients and great attention to detail. The bakery goods were as you would expect all very good and the desserts are not to be missed. Add in that you can sit on the terrace with views of delightful historic churches and this has everything going for it.

I came on the 12th of may in the restaurant Dolgorukiy. Friends have told me about this place.It was really great. The Nature is a miracle, there, The Cook is excellent, and all was really delicious.I ordered tartar, risotto, and cabbage soup from nettle. It was the first time in my life I eat a such soup ! and also there was a good piano! I am pianist and composer, from France. How nice it is, when in the deep russian forest, there is a such wonderfull instrument ! And actually, I played on it a few of my compositions... What a big pleasure for me! I met the owner of this place, Tatyana, and also the Chef cook, Zakhar... They are great ! I will definitely come oftenly , again ! We expected the food to match the setting - WRONG. Worst borsch we had in Russia - pork stew with bread topping had to be sent back because the center was cold. Not much taste and high prices. Cannot recommend

We were probably the first Sri Lankans to ever visit this quaint restaurant and even though communication was impossible, the ladies who were serving us and the chef were just amazingly hospitable. Thanks to Google Translator, we managed to get some gastronomic delights, great vodka and were finally presented with complimentary vodka shots with salted cucumbers before we walked across to our hotel. Ultimately, it is service that one remembers and the team here made it memorable. Their beautiful smiles were the icing on the cake.
