In this little and quiet village lies a nice restaurant. Itâs a little drive from Maastricht. If it is a sunny day you can use the terrace at the water. On the otherside of the water is Belgium. Relaxed atmoshere and friendly staff. Food and drinks are very good.

Eenvoudig lekker eten. PUNT
We came to this restaurant because it was right across the street from our B and B we stayed at. We were tired and our youngest wasn't feeling well so we liked the convenience of the location. Upon entering we were immediately seated and offered drinks and a menu. The local patrons were excited to talk to us and they helped us decipher the menu. They suggested the specials of the week and we were not disappointed. My husband and younger son had the caramelized ham and it was amazing. I had the Salad Nicoise and the portions for all were huge. The waiter and other patrons were so nice and helpful and they even gave us some tips on other places to visit. This was a very nice experience and we will definitely visit again if we get the opportunity. Very welcoming all around.

De Pauze is located on the east side of Tongeren and is a nice place to stop after antique shopping. They serve all kinds of food and drinks. The portions are large, so it's easy to share. You can get omelets, pancakes, soup, salad, sandwich, pizza, or steak. There's a good selection of beer, wine and mixed drinks. The regular menu is in Dutch and French or ask for the English menu. There's also a "to go" friture on the outside.

I went to this restaurant with a group of about 130 people. Our time of arrival and menu choice was known before hand by the restaurant. We even called ahead to let them know when we would arrive precisely. But when we arrived we had to wait for our glas of champagne, they were still poring the glasses. About 1,5 hours after we had arrived we had our meals. Some tables waited for 2 hours. That's just unacceptable for me. The mussels were good, but not to say extraordinary. I will not revisit.

I had lunch in this place about once a week in the last period, and I literally love it. The location is extremely nice if there is good whether it is possibile to sit on the pond/little lake. It is surrounded by green and it is very peaceful. The interior is also very nicely decorated and the service is fast and polite. The food is really good and there is a pretty vast choice of both normal and veggie burgers. The bagels also fantastic.Highly recommended.
