This restaurant has a lobster week at the moment. Unfortunately their menu on line has the following information for vegetarians:"In overleg met u serveren wij een vegetarisch menuvan dagverse productenWe can serve a special vegetarian menu for you made of daily fresh products."They say it's 'where fine dining makes a difference'.It certainly made a difference to my wallet. For 35 euros I was given a single vegetarian sushi piece as an 'amuse Bouche.'This was followed by two delicate lettuce leaves with an apple salad and a single poached free range egg as a starter. The main course was plain risotto, charred cauliflower, caramelized something, possibly onion, thinly sliced green asparagus and a large quantity of hollandaise sauce. There were three deserts in the final course. Had I known in advance what my dinner would consist of I would never have ordered it or paid that much for it. The meal was dull and unappetizing. I did not complain as I did not want to embarrass the people I was with. This meal was vastly over priced. The staff were very pleasant and it has nice decor but there should be a sign that says. "Ongeschikt voor vegetariers." This is not fine dining. My friends paid the same for three courses with lobster!!!!!! I had an egg!!!!!!! In 2015 there are so many wonderful vegetarian dishes. We had the absolute delight of enjoying a culinary trip down The Hague memory lane last night. A wonderful trip, an awesome dinner, a party-like atmosphere, the simplicity of not having to choose on the menu and being served delicious dishes, the unmatched friendliness of our attendants (I thought in particular our waitress was going to have a zygomatic strain in the evening after smiling so beautifully and generously all evening), the quality of matching wines, the excitement of seeing all familiar places. And of course the excellent company we had. It was a really beautiful evening, with daylight on throughout. I cannot recommend this trip enough. It's not a restaurant, it's not a dinner, it's an unforgettable experience that builds bonds between its partakers. Treat yourself, hop on the (Hof)tram(mm)!

6@24, referring to the birthdays of the manager and her chef, offers amazingly good food, served in very ambitious recipes and when a la carte copious, dishes. Very well trained team, excellent executed dishes, based on amazingly brilliantly composed dishes. Had twice the wild oysters from Texel,overly delicious, beating the Gillardaud standard. But also the ris de veau, the Anjou pigeon , and the loupe de mer were all surprising dishes. I am convinced all dishes will prove to be perfect, as were the amuses. Solid quality of wines, with some interesting odd wines. All affordable wines were a bit young, but well served by the manager.Happy to be back here often and further test the chef!

The other day I booked a table at the restaurant where we had a small celebration in honour of my Mom. The whole experience from the service to the food and wine is superb. The chef and his team created a set menu on offer, exquisite, so different in each dish, well proportioned, full of flavours and aromas so well combined. The restaurant is cosy, elegantly designed. A real treat and enjoyed by each of our party who dined with me. Highly recommended for any occasion as you won't be disappointed. I will definitely come back for sure.

Went on a recommendation by hotel reception and had the Surprise menu option, 3 courses, all GF and all were not disappointed by any of the food creations. Friendly and knowledgable service throughout this surprise GF meal, all course contents were explained to us when we received them and they were absolutely delicious. Even the GF bread was excellent. Not the cheapest but worth every Euro.

This is a very fine restaurant, with accurate cooking and interesting flavour combinations. We were in an area new to us which had several restaurants listed in various food guides. De Pepermolen was the first that we tried. Nice room, tables well set with good glassware, usually a good sign, and it was in this case. Friendly, informal service. The menu is made up of 6 courses, each with a single dish, so the main decision was "how many courses?". We opted for four, which with nice bread was quite enough for us. All of them were quite delicious, as were the "amuses", especially a tiny cup of asparagus soup. There is a good wine list or you may take a wine arrangement, matching the food with different wines. Our only complaint was a lengthy delay before the main course. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and the skill of the cooking, but a discount from booking online made the final bill a bargain. Definitely a place to return to.

It was one of the first spring days and we started with drinks on the deck overlooking the Vliet. Lovely location. When the chills came, we moved to our table inside. The food was average. Service was friendly but uninformed. And almost every waiter arrived at our table to ask if everything was according to our wishes.Don't expect gastronomy here, the lamsrack was well prepared, the vegetarian wrap so-so. The Smoked salmon starter was home smoked salmon fillet, but the Japanese nori was soggy and another sea weed was hard to digest. Starter, main, two beers, and five glasses of wine came to Euro 90 (incl. tip). My advice: go here on a warm day, sit outside, enjoy the veiw over the water and order a simple dish.

I booked the hotel in a hurry for a business engagement I had in the neighbourhood and you would not believe what a surprise I had when checking in. Instead of finding again, just another hotel I found one that is truly amazing.The reception was great, the room was amazing, the atmosphere it gave was a pleasant surprise to all other hotel visits I had in the past. I was kindly invited for a drink in the bar and could not help myself to accept the offer.What I discovered there was something that made me call my wife to arrange a visit with the both of us.I found a culinary heaven for food (even quick snacks) as for drinks. Highly recommend the place to relax and enjoy!

I actually came across Capriole via Google as I wasn't totally sure about restaurant reviews on TripAdvisor. Menu is limited as compared to other places that I've been. And that allows Capriole to horne their skills in these dishes. We had the chicken burger, pulled pork sandwich, salad and mackerel sandwich. They were all very tasty. Coffee was pretty decent as well. But I'd say it's more tweaked to the Dutch way of enjoying coffee. I like mine thicker and more robust.We were staying with friends in Den Haag, and the one thing is that you will need your own transport to get to Capriole. I didn't manage to see any bus stops in the vicinity. Overall a very nice place to chill and catch up with friends.
