we ate lunch in this place on our last day in Tahiti. we took spicy beef with pineapple, braised pork ribs noodles with vegetables and garlic steamed vegetables. the beef and pork were very tasty, a bit too sweet but mixed with the noodles it was excellent. the garlic vegetables were excellent. the dishes were big enough to allow us to take the leftovers for an early dinner before our flight service is very friendly

After 9 days of hotel food in Bora Bora and Papeete, we were hankering after a good Chinese meal. Luckily our three day stopover in Papeete coincided with a Tahitian friend popping back from Brisbane to compete in a canoe paddling race. We caught up for lunch and he directed us to Citi d'Or. You could easily pass up the place as it does not look like much with several tables and a counter just off the road in a side street. Our friend was greeted as a long-time customer and we were ushered through a curtain at the back of what we thought was the restaurant, only to find the air-conditioned "back room". We would class this as a "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurant i.e. one that does not look much from the outside and with dated decor, but the food is brilliant. We ordered several dishes for four people and they were all good portion sizes, well presented and really delicious. We were were happy and have designated this as our go-to Chinese restaurant in Papeete.

We visited the Restaurant Le Feng Shui on two occasions during our recent visit with friends in Tahiti. Both times the food was excellent as was the service Over the years and in various parts of the world, we have found that the best way to enjoy a Chinese meal is to go as a group. That way, everyone orders their favorite dish and everyone shares. One of our hosts told us that they had reserved the restaurant for their company Christmas party of 130 people.

This is an excellent choice for fresh tasty Chinese food with plenty of options. It is a little cheaper than other food in Papeete but still expensive by typical US standards There are plenty of choices including some tofu options for vegans and a good range of fish and meats in typical Chinese styleFood was freshly cooked and prepared and service good and friendly. Limited English speaking with French preferred but the menu did offer English textIt can be difficult to find from the airport - head through the car park and then walk up the hill and itâs across this main road

One can always tell if a restaurant is good if all of the customers are local. That was the case when we (Americans) walked into Dahlia's and everyone was Tahitian. The food was delicious.

We found this restaurant because it was recommended by the concierge at our hotel who made us a reservation. When we arrived we found the menu offering included Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese cuisine. We ordered as couples, but ended up sharing everything so that each of us could have a nibble of all of the wonderful delicacies on the table. Of particular note were the Thai raviolis my husband ordered - delicious!The service was fantastic and the wine selection and service was lovely. We will definitely be back when we visit again in two years! Thanks Restaurant Jimmy!

Itâs a must in Papeâete to visit these lovely roulottes for food. We sat and watched all the stalls setting up which was cool, and the food was great and remarkably cheap for French Polynesia. We will be revisiting in a few days for our last night in French Polynesia & canât think of a more authentic ending to an amazing trip!
