Le Fare Bleu

Wonderful place and great host - Enjoy the beautiful lagoon view

Reviewed By 714melaniet

The Tiputa side of Rangiroa is a very quite and wonderful place to relax. Emmanuelle's Fare bleu is directly at the beach embedded in a small and quite living area. It's clean and cozy, you can do your own cooking or take the bicycle and get your meals from the Snack. The terrace is fantastic, a wonderful place to enjoy the lagoon view, starting the day with breakfast prepared by Emmanuelle (her muffins are really delicious!) Just a few steps and you can swim or kayak in the beautiful lagoon. Emmanuelle is a great host, she knows all about the island, is very helpful with everything. We will definitely go there again.

Aotera Guest House

Just awesome - perfect hosts

Awesome hosts and nice bungalows. Breakfast was amazing with home baked bread, jam, coffee from a proper espresso machine and eggs or pancakes. Plenty to start your day right. Hosts are very helpful and friendly and you can get in contact very easily, if you wish so. Optional dinner is also available and I would recommend it. Not only is the fusion of Italian, Japanese and Polynesian just delicious, you can also cook together and learn to make it on your own. We loved to star-gaze from the terrace of our bungalow and enjoyed the ocean breeze to cool down the night a bit. A definitive recommandation from our side!

Amazing !!

This place is a real gem! We stayed there 4 nights and everything was just perfect : the location, the view, the bungalow, the amenities (incl. double kayak, paddle boards and brand new mountain bikes), breakfast and dinner (we had dinner there twice) and above all the kindness of the hosts who will go above and beyond to make your stay just perfect ! Private little beach with numerous loungers, hammock, sunbed. Perfect place to snorkel and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The bungalows are spacious, nicely decorated (contemporary and eco) and the bed was very comfy. We loved everything! Thank you Nicolas and Alice!

Motu Aito Paradise

Located on a coral island, in the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere, the Motu Aito Paradise guest house will be a unique experience. After 20 years of activity, the boarding house keeps the same values: tradition, authenticity and Polynesian heritage. In addition to the basic values, the guesthouse reinforces its strategy of sustainable development through the use of renewable energy, pollution-free activities and local products. The boarding house filters rainwater and uses solar energy. All of this with the aim of limiting the environmental impact in this heavenly place. Eight traditional bungalows are built with natural materials (natural fibers) in a Polynesian style. The garden is planted with "Aito" trees and is flowered with "Tiare", which gives a village effect to the property. Your stay at the guesthouse is a total immersion in the local life. To reach the exotic and heavenly setting of the pension, it takes 1h30 to 2 hours by boat, depending on the sea conditions (transfers are included in the price). At Motu Aito Paradise you will live to the rhythm of the Tuamotu: internet access, water, telephone and electricity are limited resources. South Fakarava promises you an unforgettable stay at the other side of the planet. Its marine fauna and wild flora will take your breath away. You will be charmed by the fifty shades of blue of the lagoon and the various species that you will observe. The guesthouse is recommended to nature lovers and scuba diving aficionados. Your stay with us is a real return to your roots!

Not worth the money

Reviewed By Stay270130

Maybe this place long ago was not so in disarray and full of debris. The owners or the management did not invest a Franc in maintaining this place in a very long time however they charge you around 300 euros per night per room. There is no running water to shower (they give you one bottle of water per day to wash yourself and no water to flush the toilet. They clean the dishes with sea water and rinse them in a bucket with regular water. One bucket for the dishes of 15 people. No electricity from 8pm. And all this because they did not invest in solar panels, a desalination device, etc. If the place would cost 60 euros per night and they warn you of the inconveniences it will be fair but definitely not at the charged price They called lagoon bungalow to a hut with the poles in the water, however no lagoon where the hut is whatsoever. The diving in the area is spectacular. The people working at this place are extremely kind and this is not at all their fault.

A hut on a white coral sand beach - fantastic!

Reviewed By Richard B

Staying with Benjamin Tiatia at Pension HOTU – Tikehau has been absolutely great! The location, housing – and not least the food – has been perfect! If you are into fine dining with exclusive wines under crystal chandeliers and sleeping in silk sheets under down quilts in a chilly air-conditioned bungalow this is not for you – but if you like a neat hut with a fan in the ceiling, a bed covered by a mosquito-net tent, set on a glistering white coral beach with black-tip sharks circling you as you swim in the almost 30°C crystal clear water and awesome, plentiful fish based food – quite a lot of “poisson cru” (raw or marinated tuna, sometimes other types of fish), this is your place. Can you imagine swim-training seeing beautiful curious black-tips swimming alongside you? I couldn’t before visiting this place. We’re already talking about returning in a couple of years, then bringing a couple of our dive interested offspring.

JUST THE PARADISE ................... NO MORE

Reviewed By dambrung

We have spent four marvelous days thanks to the situation of the pension and also to the great and friendly performance of Manu and Chelly. Manu as a real Swiss is very professional , always in time ( like a Ulisse Nardin Watch) to answer to the need you may have. Chelly is a fantastic host making real miracles at each meal , coming from Columbia , she mixes Columbian, euruopean and polynesian savours like a fairy !!!
