We arrived in town after 7 pm and after finding a motel (the Lincoln) and having a shower it was after 8, and now we were hungry.I, of course immediately checked TripAdvisor and saw there was a Chinese restaurant in town, so that's were we headed. And happy were we that we did.Tasty Canadian Chinese and reasonably priced.We would stop here again.

Been here earlier this year and loved the food here so came by again with family members. Came on a Sunday night, which they just happened to have a live band playing...Music was very loud, but good entertainment. Although it is a bar/pub atmosphere, it's still suitable for families with young children. Food once again was delicious and we would definitely come here again. Our new favourite restaurant in town.

Having never been to Sturgeon Falls before, we found ourselves in a hotel room, wanting a late night snack, looking through the hotel binder. We didn't have a menu so we weren't really sure what the speciality might be so we called to order a pizza with the toppings we wanted.We requested bacon strips and we were told they use real bacon??? Bacon strips are real bacon. It took 50 minutes from the time of our order to the time of delivery, that seemed really long considering we were only about two blocks from the pizza place.The delivery guy was friendly and courteous, the pizza was hot but it was nothing special. It filled a hole.

We went here for dinner the other day we ordered 3 poutine's and 3 pogo's . The two girls working there were to busy talking instead of serving the customer's as they told us to wait well they talked. Then when we got are food and took it home to eat. the potatoes where still raw and under cooked as the fries where still white and hard. there was very little cheese and grave. This was the worst poutine I ever had never again

Passing thru spending the night in town and stumbled upon this gem. The Delmonico Steak was awesome so Flavorful and Tender served a perfect Medium Rare. My wife's Monte Cristo was great as well as the Salads.The Waitress was super friendly and efficient.

Had RIV Supreme burger. Presented well, great RIV sauce and perfect amount on burger. Could have had more fried onions as I barely found any. Now the patty: it was so bland with no flavour - disappointing. Just a little flavour would have put this burger over the top. Poutine was delicious. It was made with chicken gravy. Different but delicious.

Now these people know how to fix great French Fries. The fries were hand cut and not the frozen type and you get a large serving. We took half of them home. The fish was pickerel from Lake Huron and was tasty. It is a stand with picnic tables outside. We liked it and would go back. These chip stands are all over the area and are a good alternative to eating in a restaurant.

Friendly service. My husband had the baked perogies and garden salad and said they were delicious. I had the Honey Nut Chicken salad that had nice crisp greens, bell peppers, mixed nuts, dried fruits and 2 skewers of crispy honey-soy coated chicken fingers. It was excellent. Would highly recommend McMacken's Pub. If going on a Thursday or Friday be sure to go early as it fills up.

This was a great place to take the kids. The pogos (corn dogs) were crispy outside and juicy inside. But, the poutine was the real star. The fries were fine, the gravy was tasty, and the cheese was incredible. The amount of cheese equaled the amount of fries. This former fry truck has been a stand for years and understandably so. A Sturgeon Falls institution.
