We wanted a break from Japanese food but not inclined to default to McDonald’s. Found Sakura burger near kintetsunara station following a morning trip around Nara. The place is small but very friendly and accommodating. Burger buns, bacon and fries/chips were made in-house, and western jazz music adds to the ambience. It seems family owned and they were very understanding when we had a problem with the credit card. Burgers by the way we’re juicy. Sorry, forgot to take photos. Too busy eating.

This little pub provides a very relaxed easy going atmosphere. It's a small space that is big on friendliness. This pub is run by Mikey, an American, so you can speak English and enjoy the Hawaiian style. If you're lucky, you might even convince him to play you a song on the Ukulele. ‘A‘ole pilikiaHe has a great selection of beers and always seems to have something new.
