I spent one day in Terrace after travelling the North BC for weeks. I choose this restaurant since it was well advertised by the hotel. Me and my girlfriend were the only customers. We ordered Shrimp Chow Mei and Sweet and Sour Chicken (without breading). The Chow Mei consisted in a plate of plain boiled noodles (slightly stir fried) with some boiled shrimps on tops. I have eaten chinese around the world for ages and this was the worst looking plate I have ever seen. My plate looked ok but the shape of the meat pieces did not look like chicken. I ate a piece and it tasted like veal. I asked the waitress whether it was really chicken. She told me "Yes, Sure, it is chicken". I opened up a big chunk and show her that it did not look like chicken. She brought the plate to the cook to check and came back telling me that the cooked "had the wrong container" and yes it was veal. I told her I did not want the plate anymore, that the chow mei were inedible and that I wanted to go. She brought me the check for the chow mei (unbelievable!) and I went to the much better Denny's two block from there. The worst worst restaurant I have ever been! And I have eaten chinese for ages and almost every day when traveling US and Canada.

Iâll be the first to admit that Chefâs Global Fusion proved to be a massive surprise. Why? Well, Iâm always suspect when I read that a restaurant (or, in this case, a food truck) aims to bring ârecepies [sic] from around the world.â In my experience, that usually means an eatery is just going to throw the kitchen sink at you and hope something sticks. You see this quite a bit in restaurants that have overly extensive menus; that is, they serve everything and anything. The best example of this in Terrace is the Back Eddy, and the end result there is not a good one to put it nicely. Thankfully, Iâm happy to admit that any pre-conceived notions I had about Chefâs Global Fusion were quickly thrown out the door!While Chefâs Global Fusion is based out of Terrace and can usually be found at the Skeena Valley Farmers Market parking lot, I had the pleasure of trying their offerings while they (smartly) visited Prince Rupert during ANBT week. Let me just say that the first item I tried â their Mongolian Beef â was so damn good that I couldnât help but visit this food truck two additional times. Everything I tried was nothing short of awesome, from the Malaysian Satay to the signature Fried Chicken to the Thai Chicken Curry. This is indeed fusion food but itâs fusion food done RIGHT. Consider the aforementioned Thai Chicken curry, for example: Laid out tastefully in its high quality takeout container, the flavours of the chicken, rice, vegetables and curry mesh beautifully with one another, creating a type of food symbiosis. Neither clashes with one another â itâs perfection personified.And itâs not just the food thatâs top-notch. The customer service you receive from the moment you place your order â greeted with a smile â to the time you collect it is superlative. Indeed, the fine folks who work in this food truck clearly recognize that, yes, good food is important but so too is how you treat your customers. In short, they deserve many a kudo for their hard work in bringing the fusion flavours together in the way that they do. FOOD: 5/5SERVICE: 5/5VALUE: 5/5RECOMMENDATION: With the untimely demise of the Puckered Pig last Spring, the Terrace area has been lacking a really good food truck as of late. As such, the emergence of Chefâs Global Fusion at the end of 2018 is timely â they fill a large void in the city. Freshness + fusion food + excellent customer service = a clear winner. I was genuinely surprised, when walking through Terrace in early March, to spy out of the corner of my eye, the No. 1 Restaurant logo. In some strange way, this filled me with a sense of joy (?) to see this logo expand beyond Prince Rupert. I'm not sure why, but I found it both good yet funny to see No. 1 Restaurant/Fast Foods open a new location. It took me a while to get around to it, but I finally went in for a couple of meals.Much like its sister location in Rupert, the menu here is pretty eclectic -- you have a mix of Western, Seafood and Asian cuisine. Unlike Rupert, however, the Terrace location features a couple of Thai dishes. On my first visit, I opted to try the prawn pad thai. The prawns were cooked nicely and gave that all too familiar "pop," but the actual pad thai itself was pretty dismal -- pretty sad. The noodles had absolutely no flavour whatsoever and there was an overabundance of sweet nuts "sprinkled" (more like dumped) on top. Totally forgettable dish and, if this is how it's served here, I'm glad it's not on the Rupert menu because this was honestly an insult to pad thai.More recently, I've tried a chow mein dish and burgers. I wasn't too surprised with the quality here: the chow mein, just like the Rupert location, was plain, boring and tasteless while the burgers were actually pretty decent. Ironically, I'd recommend coming here for the burgers, but not much else.One thing this place has over its Prince Rupert "sister:" the space looks more modern and is definitely a lot cleaner. No. 1 Restaurant in Rupert looks tired in comparison to this one; in that regard, it's certainly a much more appealing setting and atmosphere.FOOD: 3/5 (for the burgers, nothing else)SERVICE: 2.5/5VALUE: 3/5RECOMMENDATION: I think this place is kind of like putting lipstick on a pig. New space and slightly expanded menu, but the food quality is just the same as it is in Rupert. In other words, maybe visit for burgers and other Western foods, but definitely skip the Asian foods as they're far from remarkable.

Good service and good food. We have been coming here for many years and was never disappointed. Our preferred choice is combination number 12, I order as is but my wife switch the chicken balls for sweet and sour boneless pork. Both choice are excellent.

Love the Korean food. It's always good. Sushi is good however Blue Fin across the street is much better. They do not have any real crab & the fish is farmed. That being said Ninja is the only place open that has sushi on Sunday. Tempura vegetables is great, skip the calamari it's frozen crap not crispy at all.

This visit was a bit of a let down. As a rule when in Terrace we go for sushi if hungry. Always awesome food and great service. However this visit was a little sub par. Sumonono salad was bland. No taste. No flavour. Volcano roll was delicious as always. Tempura veggies were a touch under cooked. The friendly waitress was lacking in follow up with how the food was and inattentive as our drinks were empty. May take a break from Blu Fin for a few months and try again in the fall. I'm sorry your visit was not up to par.Thank you for bringing this to my attention. These issues will be rectified.
