I took my wife for her birthday lunch and before getting there I called the restaurant to let them know that it's her birthday. The hostess whom I was speaking with assured me that she will inform the server when we would be seated. After finishing our meal the waitress comes with the bill and that's it. The reason why I called to let them know is that my wife would have figured out the gesture had I done it personally in the restaurant. Great job Moxie's for not delivering something you promised. Oh btw the table next to us had a mother and her daughter who walked out of the restaurant because no one came to take their order for a long time. Bravo.Dear Neville. I sincerely apologize for the lack of communication and attention you and your wife received when dining at our location. It is unfortunate that we were not up to the task of catering to, quite frankly, a common request we get here. It is extremely disappointing that your needs were not met by our team and I wish I had been here to attempt to rectify the situation. Although I cannot change the outcome of your experience I do promise to share your feedback with all parties involved - hosts, servers and managers - as a way to improve our focus of living up to the expectations of all our future guests. I understand we made a poor impression but if you ever feel like giving us another opportunity to demonstrate how good our service can be please do not hesitate to contact me at the store. Went with 5 other friends/colleagues. We were just in the area and it got great trip advisor reviews so we went for it. Food was good overall, service was an entirely other story. The waitress was quite rude when my friend asked her for a recommendation. We were charged 1.75$ for what was clearly unfiltered tap water. At the end despite being with 6 different people it was all put on one bill which is fine. But we were quite rudely told she doesn't usually have time for this and we should have told her multiple times. There was also an enforced 18% tip added on(which whatever I always tip anyway) but I donât like the principal of it. Overall definitely soured the food experience and I could hear her complaining about us in the background despite us being a pretty tame respectful crowd.

Refreshing to have a business lunch spot with consistent great healthy copious food. Been here a few times during business trips to Toronto. The large salads with proteins are fresh, well seasoned and always a tasty add on protein. Service is accommodating and attentive. Some spots are noisy but overall great ambience.

Had a group lunch here on a Saturday (about 8 people). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their entrees. I had the chicken panang bowl. It was a nice curry and was very tasty. Would have been nice to have some type of Naan to enjoy with it... even garlic bread.

Our server served a family who was seated after us before us. Then she skipped over my friend's order when we were ordering. When she was told, she hissed at my friend. The duty manager came and spoke to us, apologized and admitted they got the timing wrong. We told her there's no ill will, let by gones be by gones. Server was good after hissing at my friend. Food was tasty, but the temperature of my lettuce wraps was only warm. I didn't say anything. After starting off on such a negative foot, I was shocked to see the manager did nothing to warrant our return service. Moxie's always gets it right when they mess up and their lettuce wraps are so much tastier. She put congrats on our donut plate, but didn't even comp it for us knowing it was my friend's stagette day and they messed up today. Afterwards, we saw our server hug and kiss the couple she served before us- she knew them!!! She told them she would see them soon after their meal was complete! We were wondering why she took such an interest in their kids!!! Also, the washrooms are all the way on the top level, so it's not very family friendly. Went for my mother in-laws 90th birthday. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. The food was amazing! There garlic bread is amazing! I had the sirloin Oscar and it was phenomenal. Steak was cooked to perfection. I donât understand the veg though. They give you four green beans and two pieces of red pepper. I like to have more veg than that. The billy miner coffee was delicious! Everyone in our party had amazing meal! Love this place

Service was good, as were menu choices. Wine selection was great. I was a little disappointed in my steak, which was overcooked, but everything else was delicious (truffled scalloped potatoes, asparagus, wedge salad). This was our last lunch stop before leaving Canada at the end of our vacation. We arrived after the traditional lunch hour on a Friday and it was pretty busy. The service and food were very good. They serve traditional bar food with interesting twists either on flavor or cheese options. I liked that you can substitute the hand cut fries for different salad options for an additional charge.
