It can be a challenge in a strange country with an unfamiliar language. I was feeling this way when I happened upon Jim Block on a cold and rainy afternoon. The service was excellent and the burger one of the best I have ever eaten. I've had a few other burgers in town since and none came close to the one I had at Jim Block. Highly recommended!

We were in a larger group of 11 people. Service was very good, friendly and fast. The usual salad is simple but fresh and good. The steak was really good, exactly done as ordered. But in my company, 3 people were asking for Mayo along with the fries, and they do not have it. Come on Block House, get yourself some Mayo (not the dutch sweet stuff) in the fridge, and we will be even happier. Argentina wine was very good as well!

The restaurant is small, so for a big group it's better to make a reservation.I tried the XL burger with bacon served with French fries. The XL burger had circa 200g of meat and it was well-cooked and tasty. The service is good. Be aware that this place close at 22.

A really great burger restaurant with a lot of original burgers and choices. The onion rings are really big and great. The desserts are originally presented and super sweet.Waiters are great and they all speak English. A great place highly recommended

Been there on a Saturday. If you would like to eat I recommend to reserve a table in advance. Just contact the team on facebook they will answer fast. The housemade burger (Smoke Black) was very delicious, espacially the meat. There are veggie alternatives as well. We went with a pitcher of Guiness. Import beers round up the available alcoholic beverages. Prices are moderate.Staff is fast and very friendly. The later the night the more crowded the place gets.If you visit Hanover for a few days you should definitvely go there. You can easily spend the whole evening in The Harp or enjoy the nightlife in Linden.

The setting is nice. They are friendly. German efficiency in attention and service. Not cheap but for downtown acceptable. However, the beef is terrible. My Ribeye was chewy (I requested medium rare) and not tasty at all. Needs a steak sauce. Like deep frozen walking dead. No idea why people review this place among the Hanoverâs best.
