GORGEOUS situation: The "Abstreiter" ist the ONLY ONE social point in these miniature village between hills & fields. Here time has stopped in perfection: The furnite inside tells you stories about the past - the "Beer garden" outside puts you in the real "bavarian outback"-life. --> ONLY three dishes on the menue! BUT every single one is an ARTWORK - cooked by the wife of the owner. Be proud if you find a place there and take a deep breath of this ICONIC destination. ...and may be you will have a talk with some of the "orginal people" from Wippenhausen... :-)

Having read some positive reviews on Kathiâs, we decided to go. Upon arrival we were advised the restaurant was full and the only table available was within a small overflow area. Before taking in the surroundings, we accepted and sat down. We quickly realised the area we were sat was the entrance to two shops and a bar?!! The shop windows were in need of a wash and the ambience was non existent. I absolutely adore steak and often cook in my own kitchen, I was really keen to try the special Bavarian steak. Iâm a little confused as to why you would come to Bavaria and order meat from another country? There was many selections from other countries available. I should note that with a price tag of â¬39, my expectations were high. My husband ordered the burger.Our food arrived and cutting into my steak, it became obvious the meat was not cooked as ordered, I requested âmediumâ...the meat had not been rested either meaning the meat juices and blood were on my plate. I requested the waiter return to the kitchen for further cooking. Once my steak arrived back, it was cooked to my preference however still oozing meat juices on the plate. At home, my steak is rested for a minimum of 5 minutes to avoid this. The meat was nice and so too were the accompaniments, my husband reports his burger was tasteless and laden with various sauces, causing it to collapse with moisture. All in all, we would not return. A restaurant focusing on serving steak should have chefs who know how to successfully cook (and rest) this expensive cut of meat.

You have cravings? Burger? They have all kinds of burgers! Everything you can wish for. More alternative furnishings. Kind of comfy if you are young adult or hipster! Food and Drinks very good...wide selection of everything. Definitely try the sweet potato fries when ordering food!
