Brahekyrkan

A must if you visit Jönköping county. The trip to the island cost 70kr round trip for a person without car. There are a lot to see in the island plus you might meet a very nice farmer who grow mullbär and raspberry. He let me pick the mullbär and it is the sweetest thing i've ever tasted.

Remmalagen Visingso

The horse and carriage took us to Kumlaby kyrka through village and forest. The driver also told us some things about everything around.
Awesome way to see a bit of Visingsö without having to walk. Priceworthy too- 100 sek for adults and 50 for children. Only thing is you have to time it so you can go. Usually they go when the Ferries come and if they get full you need to wait for the next one, perhaps an hour later.

Visingsborgs Slottsruin

This is a nice place to visit right next to the ferry. We didn't spend much time here since you have seen it all after ten minutes. Always interesting to learn some history and it's a good place for some nice photos.

Kumlaby Kyrka

This small church is very nice and special, as it belongs to an earlier swedish style, the foundation dating back to the 12th century. There is also possible to climb to the tower: going up is a bit difficut as the steps are sharp and narrow, but on the top the views are outstandings as you can almost see the hole island inside the lake.

Nas slottsruin

We rented bicycles next to the ferry and went down to Näs Slottsruin. It was nice to see but there wasn’t much left of the castle, only some stone walls. However the surroundings are nice and it’s worth to visit the beach if the weather allows. The ride from the ferry down to Näs Slottsruin was very nice and relaxing, flat almost all the way.

Leklandet Visingso
