Business dinner after a long day. Great menu, fantastic food, attentive staff. Ordered steak with a Cheddar cheese hash brown creation with mushrooms and red wine sauce. Good portions, very good quality ingredients and good presentation. If in Halmstad Pio is well worth a visit. I was impressed

The last 10 years some of the very good restaurants in Halmstad has closed down. Instead there has been some more sports-bars. I believe that SPORT is the new religion.
But at least Halmstad still has this fantastic restaurant in Brogatan 26. They serve real good gourmet food. This time I had their fish/shellfish pan and my girlfriend took the Deer. Together with that we had a redwine from the fantastic Paso Robles wine district in California.
One fantastic dinner in Halmstad. Can only recommand this place

It has an interesting interior design, with a mix of everything you can imagine. However, they only accepted a direct payment, so when representing a company, it can be problems.

... but about inner values. This is fitting totally taking the lunch in this restaurant! This small Thai restaurant in a non attractive industrial and commercial area with difficult parking facilities is a... MUST. The owner is very friendly, explains the dishes very patient, and lets preparing excellent food, taking into consideration the wishes of clueless guests. We didnot eat with pleasure, we tasted it delightly! The cook (we think his wife) could be comfortable in each star restaurant. Thanks a lot and more!
