Kokeizan Eihoji Temple

Reviewed By John_Asano - Gifu, Japan

Kokeizan Eihoji Temple is a must see temple in Gifu Prefecture. It is breathtakingly beautiful and a real hidden gem that should be visited by more people. The temple grounds include a zen garden with pond, bridge and waterfall. We visited in Autumn when the Autumn leaves were just spectacular and ablaze of colour. The stand outs were the Kannon-do Hall a National Treasure and the magnificent Musaibashi Bridge (Endless Bridge). The buildings here combine a unique style of Japanese and Chinese architectural styles with Zen influences. We came by car with free parking available near the train line just before the temple.

Toki Premium Outlets

Reviewed By Gary Y - Singapore, Singapore

Having also shopped at a number of other outlets in Japan, we thoroughly enjoyed Toki in Gifu. The layout is very similar to other Premium Outlets like the Gotemba but Toki seemed smaller. A extensive number of shops and brands available with excellent service.
Toki is located at the top of a hill so from the carpark, you also get a nice view of the town plus the very fresh air.
We went there on a Saturday and it got more and more crowded into the afternoon. There were also queues at some of the restaurants. Happy Shopping!
About 1hr drive from Nagoya.

Mosaic Tile Museum Tajimi

This museum features mosaic tiles as the name suggests.
The building is quite unique and has fairytales atmosphere.
After buying a ticket, I took stairs to the 4th floor.
Some works made of tiles were displayed there.
On the 3rd floor, you can see the history of tiles.
If you are eager to know about tiles, you can get the latest tiles information on the 2nd floor.
A souvenir shop is on the 1st floor and workshops are held next to the shop.
I don't think it's a great museum but if you visit near there it wouldn't be bad choice to observe the museum.
