Frances beach is beautiful. If you're not sure whether to go, go.
We visited twice, once during the week and again at the weekend. While the weekend was busier, it wasn't crowded.
The surf here is good and is popular with the locals. Early morning waves are best for beginners, while later on in the day they increase in size.
The sand is golden and clean. There is no seaweed and no signs of fishing. The smell which affects other Beaches in Maceio is not present here.
The beach is large so plenty of room. Parking is available but is chargeable.

This is a beautiful beach for a day trip. It is only about an hour from Maceió and several tour companies offer bus rides to this beach. There are many barracas where you can enjoy your peixe grilhada or camarão lunch with a cold beer. Use cash or debit card. The natural lagoons formed by the offshore reefs make it ideal for swimming. Highly recommended.

Looks like paradise. Clear and cristal waters, surrounded by coconut trees. Amazing colors and beautiful nature. A pity to find so many trash around...

The locals are unanimous that Antunes, with its wide sands and great views of the reefs across a wide lagoon is the best of all the ten Beaches along the coast of Maragogi. There are no hotels or pousadas on the beach. Just two groups of rental cabins. This makes for a beach that is mostly deserted. A real treat and has easy access from the main road.

A real secluded beach
The most beautiful and wild Brazilian Beaches have a sad tradition in turning to be a spoiled, popular and devastated beach in few years. I honestly hope that doesn’t happen with Praia do Toque. It is a really wild and secluded beach, a small paradise. I spent a week there in March and saw the same few persons every day, including native and tourists. The nature, fauna and flora, including the subaquatic treasures, are intact and the waters are warm, shallow and pristine. The coral pools, where you can reach with “jangadas” are the best place for snorkeling.

I choose to visit São Miguel
Dos Milagres because I was looking for a beautiful and tranquil beach in Brazil. If you are the kind of person who likes to be in an almost desert place, São Miguel can offer you that! Additionally, the place has simple but very cosy and good service b&bs. I visited the place in Jun15, which is not the best season because the weather can be cloudy and rainy, but I was lucky to have beautiful sunny days with great views. I recommend and would return!

Tue-Fri 8am-5pm, Sat-Sun 8am-4pm
All walls, floors and ceilings are full of vivid colours. Impressive. Multicolour azulejos, imported from Portugal, paintings on the ceilings, marble imitations and gilded carvings. Friendly attendance by a responsable who showed us the place where the family that owned this church, hid fleeing slaves for their masters.
Postcard perfect. Next to the Pousada Colonial.

Beautiful, with blue warm water. If you are lucky enough, you'll get to see a manatee round here. It's a great place for long walks, sunbathing and diving. We have stayed here for 3 days, and it was really peaceful and charming.
