Had a good time diving with Phillip and taking "slow down" lessons from Captain Archie. Did six dives, Bright Ledge, Pamir Wreck, Stavronikita,Dottins reef, Great Ledge, Cement Pier. Very professional and treated each diver or divers according to their experience level. Would highly recommend. And remember "there are two speeds here on Barbados, slow and stop"-Captain Archie. LOL a good time was had by all.

Heywoods Beach

Information was that this was a snorkel beach without amenities. We were not disappointed with the lesser amount of people as we swam among the rocks enjoying the fish and soft rolling waves. The beach stretched out for some great photos of the shoreline.

Tony is the best instructor we've had in Barbados! Two of the children were nervous beginners, he managed to get the whole family skiing and confidently crossing the wake on one ski. A real professional but always had time for a laugh. We particularly enjoyed singing along to "I can see clearly now" when the clouds disappeared!
Tony also organised a fun packed morning with all the inflatable toys, which everyone enjoyed and agreed was the perfect way to start the new year!
We will certainly be seeing Tony again on our next visit.

Arlington House Museum

Reviewed By 4UK-abroad

Set right in the midst of Speightstown, itself boasting a beautiful town centre still reflecting it's past, the Arlington House museum is a great place to orientate oneself when new to the island. Itself a building with a fascinating past both in construction and usage over the centuries. For a very modest fee you gain a tangible feel for the island's geography, history & how trade has underpinned the evolution of island life, from the dark days of slavery right up to current times. Archeological efforts to uncover missing links to the past are underway in the neighborhood and the curators appear well up to speed with how to gather interesting life stories from a wide variety of locals. These are displayed variously using short video segments in addition to a 15 minute general introductory film that packs in a lot of useful information. A modest number of artefacts are tastefully displayed, but this is not "that sort" of a museum. Its more an illustrated journey through the history of the island, accessible to young and old, beautifully presented & in deliciously cool surroundings. I thoroughly recommend it.

The Speightstown Mural

Reviewed By Skaramoosh - Edmonton, Canada

It's not a mural where you have to make an effort to go see but if you happen to be in Speightstown then by all means. Walk along the boardwalk heading south and you can spot it from the Speightstown Fish market.
The mural is a nice photo op but have seen better.
