Dawna Kopalnia - Nowa Ruda

The underground railway located in the mine is the first attraction of this type in Poland, and fourth in Europie. In the past it used to serve the miners as their mean of transport of miners. Today tourist can seize the opportunity to have a ride. But before we get to the start of the round tour of the Museum. You can also see here different models of mining casings.

Lookout Tower on All Saints' Mountain

Built in 1913 by Glatzer Gebirgsverein (Mountain Society of Kłodzko) in what was then Germany. Stands on highest peak of Wzgorz Wodzickie group of hills, providing superb views towards Gory Sowie (Owl mountains) on one side, and Gory Stołowe (Table mountains) on the other. Main Sudetes long distance trail passes by.

Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows

Popular pilgrimage site since 18th century. Stands on top of Koscielec hill, which is part of Włodzickie Wzgorza group of hills. The whole area was developed for tourists by German Mountain Society of Kłodzko - those areas were part of Germany till the end of WWII. Been slowly falling into disrepair till mid nineties of 20th century, then the sanctuary was renovated and basically rebuild,.

Monument to the Miner

It's probably the last and only sign of coal mining (the coal mine itself was turned into economical zone), that was a major industry in area for 400 years (memorial plaque on the monument mentiones 600 years...), that finally came to its sad end by the end of 20th century.
