I read about the different places for skiing in Georgia and learned that Bakuriani is a great place for families and for learning how to ski. My wife and I had never been skiing before and wanted to find the right place to learn. David and his crew at Bakuriani Ski Academy were a one-stop shop: they rented out all gear by the hour or by the day (skis, ski boots, helmet, goggles), and provided an English speaking instructor for each of us. The price was an incredible value, and they were able to work with each of us to develop good skiing habits. I recommend spending at least two days skiing- the first one could be to practice on the beginner hills, and then Bakuriani has intermediate and advanced hills within a close distance. So, you could do an hour or two of lessons on each day.

A very nice ski center but needs improvement. Unfortunately, transportation creates a weak impression. But the ski center is very nice, the people are good. The prices are really very reasonable. If you want to experience the skiing in different places you should definitely go and see. However, you must create your program in advance.
