Excellent remote walking tour of the old city of Tbilisi with Bacho via internet. The technology worked well and Bacho has perfect English. Bacho is a friendly and very well informed guide. It was wonderful to get a taste of this beautiful and interesting looking city in the only way possible in current circumstances. Georgia is now very high on my list of countries to visit when circumstances allow and I will not hesitate to contact Bacho and Georgian holidays to help plan my trip. Highly recommended. Many thanks. Mike Davey England

Tbilisi  is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of approximately 1.5 million people. Founded in the 5th century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, since then Tbilisi served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Because of its location on the crossroads between Europe and Asia, and its proximity to the lucrative Silk Road, throughout history Tbilisi was a point of contention between various global powers. Mtskheta was the ancient capital of Kartli, the East Georgian Kingdom from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD. and was also the location where Christianity was proclaimed as the official religion of Georgia in 337. The property consists of the Jvari Monastery, the Svetitstkhoveli Cathedral and the Samtavro Monastery.

We had the best time on this trip. We tasted wine at The Wine House, baked bread, did sightseeing in Signagi, tasted more wine and then Daviti hosted us at his home where we maked Khinkali and had a Georgian feast for dinner. The people were very friendly- we laughed and enjoyed one another's company the entire day. I definitely recommend this day trip.
