We went to the coral with boat tour in which 4 yo kid can attend by name of Mare cruise. We did three snorkeling at different points which were recommended by the captain. It cost about 10000 yen per adult and 8000 yen per child. it includes delicious lunch and Deserts. There are very beautiful corals in the sea, and many many fishes.

Great beach with crystal clear water, good for swim and for getting some sun. Umbrella and chairs are available for rental (2000yen/day), rest there are some activities happening around but I wouldn't recommend any as it's more of a place to relax than seek adventure. Its good to visit during day and over the sunset too.

Newest (about 2years old) bridge connecting Miyakojima and satellite island Irabu, 3540m long and toll free. Can cross by car or if feeling adventurous by own two feet though will take more than an hour I suppose. Both sides gleaming with azure colored and so clear a sea.

It was a chilly, windy day when we visited but the weather did not deter from the area's beauty. The lighthouse was a steep climb but offered excellent views of the seas in brilliant shades of blue. I can see this area being really crowded in the summer months but in March when we went, it was practically deserted.

This is (in my opinion) the best snorkeling spot on the East coast of Miyakojima. There are wooden picnic tables where you can dump your stuff while you go in the water, and you can rent an umbrella all day for 1000 yen. The people who work there are unbelievably kind and enthusiastic. They are so happy when you express how much you love their beach!

Toguchi Beach on Irabe Island, just next to Miyako Island, is a pristine beach. Fine, white sand; plenty of palm trees; azure water; a nice little get-away! Go a little early and have a semi-private beach! We arrived at 8:30 one morning and had the beach to ourselves for at least an hour. However, by 10 am, the beach-comers are arriving! Showers and bathrooms available and a restaurant as well. Hours on restaurant are iffy, tho?! GOOD place to get away - not as popular or crowded as other Miyako Beaches. Enjoy!

Cross the Irabu bridge. Shimoji-jima island looks to be almost the western part of Irabu island. There is the large Shimojijima airport - but I didn't see any planes there as well as the two ponds next to each other at Tooriike. Linked to each other under the sea. Open for exploration by advanced divers.

Ikema Ohashi Bridge

Some tourists haven't realized or just don't care that there's no emergency lane/turn-out. Instead, they'll just park their car wherever they want and expect you to go around them. That's fine (sorta) under most circumstances, but it can get very dangerous while descending. Please be careful while driving here. I found groups of tourists pulling over and crossing the roads to take a picture... at the cusp of the bridge. -_-
Really great view, otherwise. Passengers should just take a moment to soak it in instead of dilly dallying with their smartphones or fancy cameras. But remember, driver-- watch out.

Really nice beach and scenery surrounding the area. Be aware that the walk back up the hill is pretty long with soft sand so if you have kids be prepare to carry them. Also watch out for shark warnings if your going to swim there.
