I really enjoyed myself here. Even if you take the cable car to the shrine, there is still a lot of walking, climbing and steps. Lots and lots of stairs. Very uneven and difficult to climb. No handrails, so take a walking stick. In spite of all of that I wouldn't have wanted to miss this. The whole area is so beautiful and peaceful. Allow yourself plenty of time for the climbing. If you have bad knees, take the tram both up and down.

When I visited here, lots of people were praying for the festival of Seven, Five and Three.
Seven and three years old girls and 5 years old boys were having traditional colourful kimono wear.
Looked great.
Also, Red Seal looked very special.

The Cable car to reach the Oyama Afuri Shrine and the Oyama Dera Shrine in Isehara. The Oyama cable car route has 3 stations with two of them being terminal stations. The cable car operate every 30 minutes. The cable car station at the base of the mountain can be reached by taking a bus journey from the Isehara station on the Odakyu Line.
The cable car route provides scenic views along the route.
If planning to visit from Tokyo (Shinjuku), one can avail the Odakyu discount pass for the Isehara area which covers a round trip on the train, the bus fares and the cable car fares.

平日だったけどそこそこ賑わっていました。バスを降りて大山ケーブル駅までの参道に名付けられた名称が「こま参道」。階段の両サイドには沢山の土産物売場がありました。食堂もあってゆっくりと休憩出来ます。

日向薬師のバスターミナルからけっこうな石段を登りますが、車でいけば上まで上れます。
ここからスタートし、蓑毛までのハイキングが出来るようです。
バスターミナルでトイレを済まし、蓑毛には、バス停ありますので、便利です。

大山詣の前に車で立寄りました。
とても穏やかな空気が流れている気がしました。
幸いどなたかの祈祷中でお裾分けして頂けました・嬉。
社務所のお母様がとても親切な方で、この神社の優しい空気が理解できます。
裏手から蜜柑畑を登ると元宮に行け、小さな小さな祠があります。そこから海方面の眺めが気持ち良いです。山方面を見ると漫画日本むかし話に出てくる様な景色がありました。
立ち寄る事ができて良かったなぁとほっこり幸せな気持ちになれる場所でした。

Access isn't good, takes about 30 min from the station but there is a special bus. The riverside way is quiet and looks peaceful far from the busy city.

伊勢原駅北口を出て県道を徒歩12分ほど、江戸時代の初めに伊勢神宮の神様を奉祭して創建されたという由緒ある神社です。伊勢神宮のように外宮・内宮があって、その順番にお参りします。境内は広くはありませんが、厳かな雰囲気が漂っていて張りつめた気持ちを持ってお参りを済ませました。
