George's Ranch

George's Ranch is located in the picturesque area of Sea Caves, which is situated in the North West of the island in the popular resort of Coral Bay, Paphos. The Ranch has been established since 1994 and, over the years, due to popular demand by tourist and locals, the Ranch has continued to expand. We started mainly as a trekking center in the early years, as we are situated just behind the beautiful coastal area of the Sea Caves, so have great access to scenic rides by the coast. Due mainly to the passion of Caroline, for competition and well schooled horses, the Ranch has now become a large training facility for local and foreign residents.

This ranch is amazing and all the horses seem very well looked after, Jackson was a dream to ride and the hack down to the sea caves was beautiful. I also got to trot and canter in the arena afterwards which was the icing on the cake. We would definitely go back here if we were to return! Thanks Michelle ????

Just a short drive from the main town, the ruins are just off the parking lot. Not overrun with visitors, but a sprawling gymnasium and baths complex and wonderful ampitheatre are highlights. The short loop takes you to all you need to see. We did the longer walk, which goes through brush for a while before coming to much less impressive ruins.

There is so much in this museum and it is so well presented, including narratives on the exhibits. Fortunately, the museum is not swamped with visitors so you have plenty of time to absorb what you are seeing and to spend time by your favourite items - I particularly liked their own version of the terracotta army (a lot more variety in their characters).

Kourion has everything one might want in an ancient archaeological site: a theatre, an agora, an early Christian basilica, excellent mosaics, Roman baths, a seaside location, and more! There is nothing better than to be at this site on a cool, sunny day. If you are in Cyprus, don't miss Kourion. It is very close to Limassol and not too far from Paphos.

Agios Neophytos Monastery

Reviewed By cotsios79 - Nicosia, Cyprus

Located about 9km north of Pafos (Paphos), the monastery of Agios Neophytos was founded by the Cypriot recluse and writer Neophytos in the second half of the 12th century, in what used to be a secluded location at the head of the picturesque valley. The hermit carved a cave out of the mountains called the ‘Enkleistra’, which is covered with some of the finest examples of Byzantine frescoes that date back from the 12th to the 15th centuries. The monastery has a noteworthy ecclesiastical museum and its later church also contains some of the finest Post-Byzantine icons dating to the 16th century.
