What to do and see in Clarke Quay, Singapore: The Best Nightlife

January 12, 2022 Esmeralda Fenner

The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. If you’re hungry for a true Singapore experience, sample the myriad street foods or take a cultural cooking class. The Botanic Gardens and the Gardens By the Bay offer a slice of horticultural heaven, and the observation deck of the Sands SkyPark makes you feel like you’re high above the clouds. The banks and walkways along the Singapore River bustle with local activity.

It may sound like a hospital but The Clinic is actually one of Singapore’s more unique bars with a medical theme. From syringes, test tubes, hospital whites and IV drips, The Clinic spares no expense when it comes to indulging in its medical motif.

Long established bar/nightclub in Clarke Quay, live music every night from 9pm, happy hour finishes at 9, so expect to pay 12 or 13 dollars for a glass of beer, however the music is well worth visiting for.

Tang Music Box

Reviewed By LongerVogue - Singapore, Singapore

My favorite KTV in town. The sound effect is better than those old K-box and party world. Singers are able to adjust the key. Some songs are missing. The promo $6/h net price is very competitive. The microphone sound is a bit Low. When turning it up, there will be noice around. The lemon honey is good. Overall, the performance to price ratio is high. Although sound effect might not be as good as hifan. Hifan peak hour price is $60/hour. This Tang music box is better than k-box, party world and cash studio.

Zouk

First opened in March 1991, Zouk has established itself as Singapore’s leading dance music institution as well as an international club destination. The home ground for generations of Singaporean music lovers, the Zouk culture has resulted in a subculture of its own over the years - one that many locals have come to identify with. Known for being the club responsible for propelling and championing the dance music movement in Singapore and Asia, Zouk prides itself through it’s innovation and being able to withstand and stay ahead of trends. After 25 years at Jiak Kim Street, Zouk relocated and is now housed within Clarke Quay’s Cannery Block and spanning across two floors, the new Zouk complex will once again be a collection of unique concepts with the retention of signature dance stages Zouk and Phuture, the sophisticated art-spotting club and lounge outlet, Capital, as well as a pre-game watering hole, RedTail Bar.
