What to do and see in Changi, Singapore: The Best Traveler Resources

October 5, 2021 Christa Meece

The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. If you’re hungry for a true Singapore experience, sample the myriad street foods or take a cultural cooking class. The Botanic Gardens and the Gardens By the Bay offer a slice of horticultural heaven, and the observation deck of the Sands SkyPark makes you feel like you’re high above the clouds. The banks and walkways along the Singapore River bustle with local activity.

The Qantas Singapore Lounge

Flying from Brisbane to London is a bit of a slog, but there can be no better place to enjoy a little respite and relaxation on the way than the Qantas First Lounge at Changi airport. The facilities are top drawer. Like other Qantas First Lounges around the world, the restaurant is excellent with impeccable service. I enjoyed a calamari starter, followed by a super seafood laksa. Truly first class.

Changi airport is a great place as far as airports go and this lounge is good for work meetings, making calls and catching up on emails. Unlike some other one world lounges ( qantas in particular) it's not too crowded and is quiet and peaceful.

It's a nice lounge to unwind at if you have a some waitinf time before a flight. There's a decent little buffet spread and several types of seats to chose from, as well as shower and spacious toilets.
