This place has been struggling to balance good karma and bad karma . Itâs either the foods great and the service is crap or vice versa. After coming under a severe pr blow for food hygiene they have comeBack strong trying to be more transparent and new food promotions . The major problem i find here is that the waiters/ servers have been instructed to be nice but not pay attention (use the brain ) when certain specific instructions are given to the waiters they nod their head and bring the complete Opposite of whatâs been said . This is so very typical in Sri Lanka . I believe Indian summer could do better to train the staff well and genuinely deliver superior value in food and service equally . As for the food itâs good just occasionally a bit salty .

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning, good selection of drinks including some boozy coffee. The food was mainly cereal and eggs with one Sri Lankan option. It was very well executed and at a very good price point. Attentive and unobtrusive service and very nice ambience.

Excellent evening mostly due to the super service. The waiting staff were confident and well informed. They guided us fluently through the menu and were very attentive through the evening.The meal was delicious. We had items from the cold and warm mezze menu, super mint tea and tamarind juice. The slow cooked pulled lamb with pomegranate molasses was great as was the strips of grilled egg plant with pita chips and spiced yoghurt

The hotel is in a quiet residential area but still reasonably convenient.It is a boutique hotel but quite spacious. I had a suite upstairs - large, with nice asian furnishings, very comfortable bed, and a good bathroom.The lobby areas are very comfortable with plenty of seating. There is an outdoor dining area which is good for breakfast and a dining room which is quite classy.Food is superb - some of the best in Colombo and i have dined at a lot of restaurants here over the years. - both western and local.I look forward staying again in future.Dear Guest, Thank you for reviewing Paradise Road Tintagel Colombo. We enjoyed the best lamb shank we have ever had. Roomy our waiter provided excellent service, both friendly and professional. In fact the food and our conversation with Roomy at the end was one of our best memories on our holiday. The interior design in the restaurant, courtyard, upstairs bar and terrace is impressive. We left with a box of hand made chocolates from the chocolate shop at the front of the restaurant. A beautiful evening. Really very impressed!

We ordered food from Flower Drum for a business event. The food was so tasty and everyone loved their chicken and corn soup. The staff was very supportive and friendly , they made sure everything went well till the end. Special thanks goes to Mr.Rohan and Mr.Shawn as they gave their 100% support for us to make the event a successful one. Can recommend the Restuarent to any client as they do all sort of cuisines.

Went to Roccoâs for dinner with a few friends. We were a group of 6. The security person was really customer oriented and went out of his way to find us a safe parking place as the premisesâs car park was full. Inside the restaurant It was a bit busy but there were few tables vacant and the person who greeted us suggested politely that thereâs more room upstairs. So we obliged and we went for a table upstairs. After that moment onwards the service was downhill. We had to wait almost 10 minutes for the waiter to come and take the order. We had to go down twice for them to remind to come and take the order. We ordered 3 large pizzas ( spicy beef, seafood and some other meat pizza ) he said itâll take about 15 minutes which we were ok with. We ordered 6 drinks also. It took about 20-25 minutes for us to get the pizza. But no drinks. Normally at a restaurant the drinks are served first. We had the pizzas and wanted to order 2 more as were really famished. Another 5 minutes for the waiter to come again. Till then no mention of the drinks. Now itâs almost 45-50 minutes since we made the order. So we decided not to have the drinks. After a further 5 minutes the waiter comes with 4 drinks for a order of 6. Then we said we do not require the drinks anymore. Then he rudely said â if you donât want you should have told earlier â. Itâs not that we ddnt want the drinks, itâs just we ddnt want the drinks after 1 hr. So he went back really arrogantly and no sign of the other 2 pizzas. So we thought of just paying for whatever we got so far. We went downstairs and our waiter was there. I said we want to cancel the second order as well and just leave. He ddnt bother at all that their customers are leaving disappointed. He casually told the cashier to cancel the order and in smug way told the kitchen staff ( kitchen is open to the reception ) â if youâll havenât put those pizzas no need to do it â. So basically even after 15 minutes if ordering they havenât even put the pizzas to the oven. Then the manageress realised there was something wrong and enquired and we told her everything. She Dd apologised but not sure wether it was genuine or not. The reason I gave 2 stars is for the food which was quite tasty. Other than that, it was a really bad and disgusting experience. Worst table service Iâve ever had and Iâve been to a few restaurants in srilanka and overseas.
