We were looking for a meal and found the Au X nestled down a side street just off the main drag.. Very good quality food and a wide selection of Belgian beers on offer.... Choice of inside or streetside tables added to the ambience on a very warm September evening

Biere-sur-mer is a beautiful establishment with a generous beer menu. The tapas they offer are lovely - try the Veurnse pate! We had the stoofvlees which was very nice and served with fries and mustard, and the steak tartare which is also very good. The food was beautifully served and the atmosphere of the place is very warm and cosy. A good place for a dinner for two, as well as a family outing. They also have a lovely terrace overlooking the sea.

A very nice brasserie/coffee shop where visitors can enjoy Belgian dishes as well as a large variety of Belgian waffles, pancakes and ice creams. The place is always full, but there is a sufficient movement to get a table without waiting. Everything we ate was fresh and tasty. The service was efficient in spite of the crowd. The brasserie is well located: in a shopping area, not far from the beach. A great place for a snack, a meal or to escape the beach on a rainy day!
