A friendly revisit
Reviewed By nojnagerWe stayed for the Town's Sim-Ju festival when fairground rides stalls and wagons occupy many of the town's streets. Nevertheless, we were cocooned from the noise outside in this warm, welcoming and very friendly hotel. May well stay there again.

Rude Host
Reviewed By Kim DWe were startled upon arrival in our pre-booked room to find only a double bed and pull-out couch (that slept 2) for our reservation that listed 5 people - (3 adults and 2 children). Then we noticed that the couch bed was broken in the middle. A board underneath was split and you could see the mattress sagging. We called the host and he came to our room to have a look. When we questioned him about the lack of beds, he was unapologetic and said he would "fix" the bed. He left the room and we started complaining to each other about what an awful room it was and how disappointed we were when suddenly the host burst back into the room, without knocking and said that if we didn't like the room, we could just leave, in a very angry voice! We told him that we had not been speaking to him and he had no business bursting back into our room without knocking. He was unapologetic. He returned with a drill and 2 screws and drilled them into the bed which did not fix the bed. It was horrible to sleep on and caused a backache in the night. We were also disappointed that there was no hot water cooker - as we had brought our own instant noodles to eat. When we asked for one, he said they didn't have any. We were forced to order take-in food. The only redeeming thing about our stay was the provided breakfast the next morning. It was a wonderful breakfast in a cute dining room. There was scrambled egg, bacon, hot rolls, yogurt, fruit, juice, meats and cheeses and very delightful. The server was kind as well. We had stayed the previous night in another place that was the same price but way above and beyond our stay at this hotel. Due to the rudeness of our host and the broken bed, we cannot recommend you to stay at this hotel.

It was ok, more like a café
Reviewed By K vRooms were very loud, I could hear the television from the room next to me. Rooms was renovated and clean (see attached photos). Restaurant setting was more like a café. I would not book this again. There are better hotels in Werne and surroundings.

Reviewed By 284wernertStayed here for just one night, my room was clean and tidy but rather dated and rather drab. The hairdryer was broken and the towels rather small and past their best. Never the less the bed was comfortable enough. The breakfast was rather minimal but expected for the price of the accommodation which was not expensive. Good location however, right in the centre.

Reviewed By Ingrid WDas Zimmer befindet sich in einem Nebengebäude, hat ein kleines Fenster mit wenig Licht, kleines enges Bad mit Dusche ohne Fenster, kleines Waschbecken mit einen spiegelschrank der viel zu hoch hängt. Das Bettlaken hatte viele kleine Löcher. Ein sehr kaltes Zimmer, die Handtücher tagsüber nicht trocken geworden. Ungemütlich!!! Keller atmosphäre. Mülleimer die ganze Woche nicht geleert. Sehr hellhörig, mann bekommt vom Nachbarn alles mit. Früh morgens duschen und Türen zu schlagen. Versprochene Gutschein... wurde nicht gegeben... Viel zu teuer bezahlt. Für 7 Übernachtungen 314 Euro.... Sehr enttäuscht! Es waren Monteure eher die Gäste.

Reviewed By claudios245I really wonder how a place like that survives. Just wanted to post a long review with all faults, but decided to keep it simple: DON'T GO, look for another place"! It seems that they don't want you here. I arrived at 16:30h and the door was locked. A sign on the door said to call a phone number or ring the bell, which I did. The attendee asked what's up and when I said I had a reservation first checked his computer and only then, after many minutes, opened the door. As if the city or Werne would be a hotspot of criminals. And this was only the start of the bad service story...
