This is a rural inn. Service is quick and the staff pleasant. I have always eaten from the set 3 course lunchtime menu. The soups and desserts are fine but the schnitzels especially the zigeunar go down best of all.Do not miss this place if you are in the area.

Wir hatten für eine größere Gruppe einen Tisch vor einigen Wochen vorbestellt und mussten dennoch 2 Stunden auf das Essen warten. Die Bedienung war völlig mit der Situation überfordert und gab uns die Schuld an der langen Wartezeit, weil wir teilweise Vorspeise bestellt hatten. Das war unglaublich. Einen Verantwortlichen gab es nicht zu sprechen. Ein Teil der Gruppe hat dann das Lokal verlassen, der Rest hatte Hunger und fürchtete, zu der späten Uhrzeit (22Uhr) woanders nichts mehr zu bekommen.

Called here en spec and had to wait a short while for a table (always a good sign). while waiting we were able to see the draught beers available and we tried a few, really tasty. The menu had a limited choice, but the food was good and hot.
I tried to return on the Thursday of my stay in Werne, but Franzers was closed.

It's amazing to see that Papa George still is the best fast food place in Werne.
They expanded from a small room on market square back in the 1980ies to a bigger location, but did not jeopardize on quality. Try the famous Gyros Pita! It's a special treat when visiting Werne!

Very often it is in the most unexpected places when one find a little jewel of a place and one wants everybody to know about it.
This place is a shop combined with a coffee shop, the cakes are uniformly delicious and presented with loving care, the teas are served in nice cups, the place is family oriented and surprisingly busy for such a small town.
If you find yourself wandering around this part of Germany you can stop to eat a slice of cake here, you won't be disappointed, and since the town centre is quite charming as well it won't be time wasted.

I visited here a number of times whilst living in Germany for 6 months. The restaurant has a lovely feel to it, and the food is great. However, they don't have menus in English, so if you don't speak German, probably best to avoid it. They were very accommodating however, and provided us with a meal despite having finished serving food for the evening.

Did visit the restaurant based on the reviews on trip advisor but was dissapointed. The choose wine was not available (they only had 3 different white wines on the menu). As a starter I took the vitello tonato which was ok, as a main penne l'italiano which had a strange taste that was far from good and the chocolate dessert was for sure not home made. My advise would be not to visit their probably are better restaurants in Werne.

Es gehören offenbar zwei Restaurants dazu: Eines in der Steinstraße, und eines in der Bonenstraße.
Zur Bonenstraße: Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht mehr, seit der alte Inhaber nach Lüdinghausen abgewandert ist. Aktuelle Beispiele aus August 2017: Gerade mal fünf verschmorte Datteln im Speckmantel für satte 5,50 €. Oder vier nach nichts schmeckende Minischweinmedaillons für satte 8,00 €. Die Soßen zu den Tapas sind verwässert, wie auch die frischen Pfifferlinge beim Gericht mit Bandnudeln und Garnelen. Letztere waren geschmacklos und wässrig. Einzig die Chorizos wussten vom Eigengeschmack her zu überzeugen. Ca 10 schmale Chroizos - Scheibchen, teils verbrannt, für 6,00 €. Positiv der Rotwein 'Castel Rosso. Das Bier (angeblich Biturger vom Fass) schmeckte metallisch und wurde stehen gelassen.
Steinstraße: Die sehr überschaubare Speisekarte steht nur in der Fußgängerzone. Es wird auf italienisch "gemacht" . Wenn Italliener kleine Menschen sind, passt es. Denn von diesen Portionen wachsen sie nicht in den Himmel. Man wird so gerade satt, doch ist es schmackhaft. Für Familein mit Kindern eher nicht geeignet. Bier vom Fass gibt es leider nicht, dafür einen diskussionsfreudigen Wirt. Pluspunkt ist die Lage im Sommer: Man sitzt direkt am netten Marktplatz . Für den Nachtisch: Gegenüber ist ein echter Italiener: die Eisdiele 'Campo'.

Ich habe mich grade erschrocken als mir aufgefallen ist, dass ich Panhoffs Tenne noch gar nicht bewertet habe!
Ein TOP Adresse zum Essen gehen.
Das Essen sowie der Service ist super. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis passt.
Das erste Restaurant wo auch der Koch selbst zum Tisch kommt und erklärt was er da gezaubert hat. Das Panhoff ist außerdem sehr gemütlich, da man wenn man Glück hat im Pferdestall" essen kann und somit seine Ruhe hat. Wir kommen wieder!
