We were late for lunch, some of the restaurant closed at 2pm. We arrived shingu city at 2pm and found this sushi restaurant still open. We rushed into the restaurant, ordered some toro sushi it’s so tasty. It’s really good sushi restaurant, worth trying. We ordered oyster without knowing it’s deep fried, we thought it’s raw oysters, so for deep fry oysters, we couldn’t finish it, however, it’s so nice, we finished everything and need to order more big toro sushi.

Great choice for dinner if you find yourself in Shingu. We ordered crab croquettes, an assortment of breaded skewers and a salad, and everything was very good, but we specially liked the crab croquettes, they were delicious. An appetizer was also served to us, simmered chicken drumette and tofu, also very good. Staff was super friendly and the chef spoke some English. They had an English menu (but it seemed to us that some dishes weren't included). After dinner, the chef gave us some tourist leaflets and a couple of sightseeing tips, they were so nice! The dinner costed around 5,200 yen, including a couple of beers. It compared very good with other izakaya we went in Japan when accounting the quality of the food.

The local water from the tap is very tasty. Also they have local sake which was worth tasting. The sushi we had on a Saturday night was one of the freshest we have ever tasted! Space is limited so arrive a little early.

My husband and I have been eating too many noodles on our trip to Japan, so we opted for sushi tonight. We were seated in a tatami room with a short table, but there were also bar seats. Service was quick and polite. The fish was fresh, and the rice was well seasoned and tasty. I tried whale sushi for the first time! The agedashi tofu was good too. Delightful dinner.

This family running restaurant welcome tourists who have dropped by before boarding bus at the tourist information center and bust stop , just at the front of train station. They provide menu in Engligh and pictorials depicting what your ordered meal looks like. The owner speaks little English with very warm hospitality manners. He also took my picture with prop. as posted by using instragram. I ordered fresh varieties of seafood topping on a bowl of rice. The owner was so kind , he offeres 4 Ebi sushis as compliments. I really recommend this small , simple great services restaurant.
