Three members of our family, including myself, ate at this restaurant for the first time. The decor is good. The beef tenderloin that we ordered was certainly not beef tender line. It was overcooked and in edible. The chicken was adequate and the beef souvlaki was really pieces hamburger, not pieces of beef steak as you would find in, a Greek restaurant, for example. We spoke to the manager and she said she was not authorized to refund any money but offered a few pieces of dessert in place of the $20 beef steak. Enough said. We would certainly not return to this restaurant. How disappointing!

Busy restaurant always means people are enjoying themselves and the food - this was so true of our experience at this restaurant. The wait staff was exceptional, personable and very knowledgeable, made great suggestions. The food was plentiful and delicious - there is something for everyone, authentic or not - you will thoroughly enjoy this experience.

A small Greek style family restaurant that's been here for decades, Located on the corner of Yonge St and a local side street, parking can be a problem. Simplest solution is to park directly across Yonge St. in Town & Country Mall. Small seating/table capacity but fits the mood for a family style restaurant. Menu offers ample choices of variety from Greek food to Pizzas. Even has breakfast items. Our Fish & Chips, Greek Salads , Cheese omelettes and Super Shwarma were very ample in size, prepared perfectly and tasted delicious. Servers are extremely friendly and menu prices offer very good value.

Tucked inside a non-descriptive strip mall plaza at John and Leslie, 'Jordan's Shawarma' brings an authentic taste of the Middle East to Thornhill!Opened 4 weeks ago by a mother and two daughters from Palestine, I stopped by today for lunch after reading some positive review from a foodie friend.We ended up with a couple of Chichen Shawarma sandwich combo and a few pieces of falafel ballsThe taste was authentic and excellent! Stand out was definitely those falafel balls which was fantastic! Light, airy, well seasoned and super crispy on the outside.Shawarma meat, wrapped inside a piping hot crispy pita pocket, was moist and has the crispiness you want as well as a very nice umami flavour. The Tabouli parsley salad condiment filling has a nice minty element to it. A welcome touch to the traditional version.You can tell there is a lot of love behind the cooking here. Excellent quality, fresh, healthy and quick, all at a reasonable price.I wish this friendly family run business success!If you by chance are in this 'culinary desert' area of town and are looking for some value for money, good ethnic food. Do check this place out!

We've been to this restaurant last week for dinner and i have to admit At first i almost walked out. The baba ganoush was sour, the lavash bread had mould but the main course was very good... the home made potatoes are truly delicious... Overall I would give this place a second chance but would skip the appetizer:)

This is a wonderful authentic Greek restaurant. The staff were friendly but a little disorganized in that they would bring the next course without clearing the previous and had no where to place the food. Young and inexperienced but hopefully will learn in time. The wine list was not bad, naturally with lots of Greek wines. The sesame feta was tasty with the honey topping but the sesame seemed to have lost some of it's flavour in the process. The roasted eggplant with feta was also good but also needed a little kick, maybe onions? The shrimps were fabulous. Huge and tasty. And the Swordfish was grilled to perfection with crusted peppercorns the flavouring was perfect. The steamed broccoli was perfect, not over-cooked. Obviously all of the seafood is fresh.Definitely a great place we want to return and try more dishes.

this is the second time I visited in 2 weeks . The first visit I would consider rating very good to excellent..The chicken kabob was moist and beautifully seasoned, the garlic potatoes were very tasty and the salad was terrific. The house dressing was fantastic. Although busy, it did not take too long till we got a table and were served quite promptly by a courteous and knowledgeable server. When we returned 2018 05 11, what a disappointment.Although the restaurant was not busy at all, the server threw the utensils on the table in no orderly fashion, and I ended up setting the table for myself and guest properly..We ordered the lentil soup which was tasteless and dreadful. So bad that I could not finish eating it. We ordered veggies which never appeared.The salad was the only redeeming part of the meal due to the tasty dressing. The table was so crowded and at no time did the server come over to remove excess dishes or to inquire if everything was all right. In fact she came to clear the table while I was still finishing my salad. There was no need to rush us as the restaurant was barely filled. The laffa was stale and no pickles appeared . All in all I am reluctant to return or to recommend this place to anyone else.

If simple, traditional, delicious food is your thing this place is for you! We've been eating here for many years and everything about Yummy Grill is 100% perfect! There is nothing fancy about this establishment, but from the incredible hospitality of the staff and owners, to the mouth watering menu, this restaurant has not disappointed us a single time!

Food is fresh & tasty. Pita is amazing. Caution, my chicken breast wrap was soaked with tehene. Other than that, the portions and price are reasonable. Be prepared to wait. The grocery store is pretty neat too.

We had a party of 12 for dinner and the wait staff was excellent. The food was very good with large portions. It was a Saturday night and the lines were long. Make a reservation.Definitely would return.
