Extra helful

We spent several days at Kimi after skiing. The location was great - an easy walk to well connected train and subway station. The room was clean and tidy and the staff were helpful and friendly. Best of all, after leaving my airpods behind, they graciously organised for them to be posted back to me - much appreciated!

FLEXSTAY INN Sugamo

Enjoy the authentic and laid-back atmosphere of the traditional Sugamo area. A stop on the convenient Yamanote line, Sugamo is an easy ride to any central location in Tokyo but it won't feel that way when you leave the station. With regular festivals in its many wide outdoor shopping streets, this relaxed neighborhood is perfect for guests who like to explore on their own. Plus, it's only 15 minutes away from the beautiful Rikugien Garden.

Nice place in a good location close to Sugamo station

Reviewed By evertonmi

It's a nice place, walking distance to the station. Sugamo station is great because it's on the Yamanote line so you can easily access anywhere in Tokyo. There's also the subway which gives more travel options. Jizo Dori shopping street is very close to the hotel, some good options for shopping and good restaurants around. Komeda coffee is also nearby, and a great place for breakfast. The staff was very friendly. You should know this is not a serviced hotel, so they will not make up the room. But they do change towels if you request. Wifi worked ok, shower pressure was good, the coin-operated laundry was handy. Cons: I don't know if all their rooms are smoking, but when I booked smoking was the only available. I don't smoke but I thought it would be ok, it was very smelly though. But then I asked the reception and they gave me some anti-odour spray and it solved the problem.

Exceptional service

I was due to stay here in September, however due to coronavirus I had to cancel my travel. However, Yuki was so understanding and gave me a full refund even though my room was non refundable. I had booked this at the start of 2020, and was communicated with well over the months. Yuki answered all my questions in a lot of detail, and I am very sad I was unable to stay here. I hope to rebook next year (if it is safe to do so) and without a doubt I will choose to book here again.

Great location, cheap price, simple rooms

Reviewed By mefiblogger

It is a very small hotel just a few minutes walking from the really big Ikebukuro station. Great bars, restaurants 7Eleven and other 24-7 shops nearby. Rooms are clean, small and simple with bed and a bathroom. We spent 8 nights in Tokyo, we mostly just crash at the place, had a shower, charged our phones and cameras and slept a few hours. If you are looking for a centrally located cheap hotel, this is your place. A few things I didn't like: the elevator wasn't working. No problem with that, but they were repairing it all days when we were there. This work started every morning around 8.00 with drilling, knocking and all kind of noise. Also, they never mentioned anywhere that they charge you an extra 5% fee if you pay with card. Kepp that in mind!
