Arachova is mostly a weekend ski village in winter, and kind of dead on a Monday when we were visiting to see Delphi. This was right next to our hotel, so we stopped in to check the menu. It was all in Greek, but the English-speaking waiter was friendly and helpful talking us through it. It was exactly what you'd expect from a Greek taverna, with great local cheeses and olives and tzatziki. Happy we stopped in.

Good souvlaki plates in Arachova. Ate twice while there. Once a pick up and then a sit down. Food is good and the meats even better, whether gyro or souvlaki. The gyro plate was substantial in portion too. The service was good and the price as well.

Try everything in the menu or just trust the ownersâ suggestions! Modern and minimal decor but at the same cozy, perfect atmosphere, adorable owners and staff, very low prices (especially given the high quality of meat served), great tastes, excellent local wine.Donât miss the formaella-burger with hand made fries or the simple (but extravagant and professionally grilled) steak !

Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon during the local ski season.This is purported to be a family-friendly taverna, in a popular area especially during winter season and therefore supposedly staffed and prepared to serve large crowds based on its reputation. To this end, we found the following unacceptable:1. Smoking is free all over the place. This is illegal in Greece, but apparently no-one cares - we did not see anyone else complaining, so basically everyone appears to be ok smoking along with the smokers. If you do care, and don't want you or your children breathing 2nd hand smoke, do not go there.2. The service was terrible. The waiters were grumpy, unsmiling and appeared irritated when we repeatedly asked to place our order, or reminded them of things they forgot to bring. We had to remind them 3 times to bring us a second bottle of water and they completely forgot our wine.3. We ordered 3 main courses (one was shared between two persons) and each arrived at a different time from one another (one person had already finished before the next person's food arrived!). How difficult is it to coordinate a pork chop, turkey burgers and and a beef steak to arrive at the same time?4. There is no menu catalog with prices. You get the menu recited by your unsmiling waiter, and have to decide on the spot, and of course you do not get any information on prices unless you ask. Now, in terms of food quality and taste - nothing special. Ordinary, and in no case what you would expect in this area where the meat is said to be exceptional, and in a restaurant with a reputation and which is always full during high season. Disappointing in general.The bill for 4 persons, with 3 starters (a salad, boiled greens and grilled cheese), 500ml of house wine, 3 bottles of water and 3 main courses (pork chop, turkey burger and a large beef steak) was 75 euro (almost 19 euro/person) which would be acceptable for a good taverna, with friendly service and good local meat...I would avoid this place for all the above reasons, especially due to the smoking. Sadly this restaurant has followed the general decline in quality and service, relying on its reputation of years past. We are definitely not going there again.

We did just that! After parking the car (really, it is possible to do a legal parking here) we got in, got seated, and got good, friendly service, nice greek salad to share plus very good gyros with everything on the side (tzatzki etc.). Modern Interior was a nice change. Good price to quality ratio!

cozy souvlaki place that you can stay there abd eat or order take awsay. I had chicken burger pita wich i believe was the best i ever had in my entire life, i'd definitely travel back from athens just for this thing only!!!!! i also tried chicken kabobs and they were also very tasty, and the carrot and cabbage salad was perfect.Cant wait ot go back and get more things from the menu :P:P. Plus the people working there were very helpful and had a smile on their face.

Our Restaurant - taverna "to Arhontiko" is located on central road of Arahova. It is close to the bridge with a magnificent view to city's clock tower. Greek and International cuisine in a very friendly enviroment.

Excellent food.Excellent view and excellent services.we ate with my family yesterday traditional fromaela cheese they called I think and it was delicious also we tried rooster with tomato sauce and local pasta, a big portion of moussaka and souvlaki pork.and final they served us a dessert something like orange pie wich was very good.thanks for you services I hope we will come again soon.
