Arachova (Greek: Αράχωβα, also Αράχοβα) is a mountain town and a former municipality in the western part of Boeotia, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is a municipal unit, part of the municipality Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra. Its name is of South Slavic origin and denotes a place with walnut trees. It is a tourist destination due to its location in the mountains, its traditions and its proximity to Delphi.

Stopped here because our first choice was closed. Very happy that we ended up here. It is a cold and windy day and we walked into a small dining room warmed by a lovely fire. Our table was right next to fire and we were warm in no time. Then came the food. A light and crisp carrot and cabbage salad followed by Dolmades. My husbandâs favorite. They did not disappoint. Especially appreciated was the generous amount of sauce. We had to try a soup and chose the bean. It was excellent. Throw a bit of the toasted bread in it...heaven! We should have stopped there but continued with lamb and pasta in the oven. Perfectly cooked orzo with mild tender lamb. Delicious. My husband combined the calf with tomato sauce with an order of noodles. It was a great combo. We are taking food with us as the portions are generous. Dessert was a homemade flan that was smooth and creamy and not too sweet. Service was excellent. Oh, almost forgot we enjoyed the House red wine as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here.

Karaouli is a large unpretentious restaurant not far from Delfi. Here you taste what you expect in a Greek Taverna: great Greek salad, roasted cheese, yoghurt cheese , a special small roll of pasta and minced meat, oven cooked lamb and roasted lamb, fried and oven cooked potatoes , fresh salad and other plates. All was of high quality, enjoyable. The wines , a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Traminer white were both enjoyable. Highly recommendable!

We had a try on this place because it had a combination of how a restaurant by the mountain and village should look (nice details,interior) and its great view. We were happy to find out that the food was delicious especially the starters.. and I also liked the fact that they had a lovely lounge good feeling music that usually in these kind of places they have Greek melancholic kind of music.

Our Restaurant - taverna "to Arhontiko" is located on central road of Arahova. It is close to the bridge with a magnificent view to city's clock tower. Greek and International cuisine in a very friendly enviroment.

Excellent food.Excellent view and excellent services.we ate with my family yesterday traditional fromaela cheese they called I think and it was delicious also we tried rooster with tomato sauce and local pasta, a big portion of moussaka and souvlaki pork.and final they served us a dessert something like orange pie wich was very good.thanks for you services I hope we will come again soon.

Fantastic dishes and very large portions. A wide variety of plates to choose from. Very helpful staff willing to service and explain.The room is also large and can accommodate large groups, which is not easy in the area.Amazing

We had dinner in that restaurant and we simply canât find any negative ! The staff was very friendly welcoming and willing to answer all of our questions! We tried different dishes such as the mushrooms with local cheese, eggplant with yoghurt, sausage, lamb ribs, chicken fillet, beef steak , everything was delicious ! Also we were very happy that they do not allow smoking inside !

"To Tsoukali" restaurant is an amazing culinary experience. Yani sat down with us and carefully curated our dinner based one what we liked (Which we eat everything especially my husband lol) and it was wonderful! His staff is very attentive and our dinner was probably THE best dinner and experience we had in Greece. Thank you Yani for your attention to detail and allowing us the honor of tasting your delicious food! Hopefully we will be back. Thank you!

We stayed in Delphi at Kastalia Boutique Hotel which is lovely. The restaurant next door (attached to the hotel) is Elia. We chose this due to its proximity to our accommodation and because of the terrace. We did not hold out high expectations for dinner but we were really pleasantly surprised. We ordered the mushrooms and mussels for entree and the gemita and lamb chops for our main. The food was delicious; well-prepared and homestyle Greek food. Simple food at its fresh best! There are great drinks available, including excellent cocktails at reasonable prices. The wait staff were attentive and helpful. The terrace view at sunset is something to really strive to do. It was a highlight of our Greece trip so far! Highly recommend Elia by Kastalia and would return again! Bravo!We are delighted that you had a great time and enjoyed all that you tasted at our Bar Restaurant! We hope to see you again next time you visit Delphi!
