i visited strand 5 two times: once for a drink in the evening. it was really perfect with the view on the sea and friendly service. at around ten the waiters made clear that the evening is finishing for them...the other time was for a warm meal. as a vegetarian it was difficult to choose between a cold salad, a sweet dish or pasta with tomato sauce. the nicely prepared veggies were only served for the omnivores what was quite frustrating.

The Staff was very friendly and the food was really good! Its an Italian restaurant that served authentic Italian food! The House wine was delicious as well! We ate there 2 days of our 3 there! Yummy!

Fun terrace in the heart of the town's center. We only went here forward coffee and cake, or actually waffles. On a stick. Fresh waffles that is. Tasty stuff. Big cups of coffee as is usual in Borkum.

This Secret Love is a restaurant good for afternoon cakes and for evening dinner. Good food with an Italian touch. Lots of fish, but also meat dishes. Coffee fine, and a decent Strudel with Ice cream. Romantic place for an evening dinner with nice wine. The best is the view towards the big ships crossing the seaway from the Ems to the North Sea.

A great spot - and if it's warm enough to sit outside do so - the interior is rather drab. Food is standard Western / American - burgers, pasta, pizzas etc - all ok but nothing special. Service is also a little slow. Would probably recommend other places above this one.

Einen Abend sind wir aufgrund der klasse Bewertungen hier eingekehrt und wurden ebenfalls nicht enttäuscht. Das Lokal ist sehr hundefreundlich, hat einen Anbau im zeitgemäÃen Ambiente. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut organisiert und der Service freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Speisen waren vorzüglich, frisch zubereitet und sehr schmackhaft, ansprechend angerichtet. Es war ein gelungener Abend und wir werden bestimmt beim nächsten Aufenthalt wieder hier einkehren - eine klare Empfehlung!

Looking for a place for dinner, we hopped in this modern, stylish restaurant. Nice surprise! Very good meals, nice and helpful personnel, reasonable price. Cuisine is quite in the German style, fish is boiled or cooked with many flavors, do not expect the taste of mediterranean kitchen. All in all good "Essen". We will come back again!

Knurrhahn is a small bistro type eat in or take out restaurant. They serve fresh fish, pasta, soup and a variety of other delicious foods. They also have a Kiddie Menu, with smaller portions and non fish options, such a potato pancakes with apple sauce. The staff is very friendly and we never had to wait long for our food. It is cafeteria style, meaning you order and they call you when it is ready. They have several small tables with bar stools. We ate at Knurrhahn 4 times during out vacation and never had a bad meal.
