Auf unserer Wanderung durch die Greune Stee stiessen wir unverhofft auf einen Wegweiser "Café zur Heide" und dachten, ein Tässchen Kaffee und ein Stück Kuchen, das wäre jetzt eine gute Idee. Allein, beim Café angekommen war angeschrieben, dass dieses noch nicht offen sei. - Ein enttäuschender Narrengang also.Wenn schon, wäre es doch nett, am Wegweiser anzuschreiben, wann das Café geöffnet ist ...

Of course, there are many cafés in town, but the Inselcafe is extraordinary. Excellent cakes and tarts are visible in the glass vitrine. On the list of pancakes you may choose fruity ones with berries and ice cream, salty ones with bacon or mushrooms. Lots of choices for tea, selection of coffee, juice and also seaberry juice. Well served and not overpriced - friendly staff.

Nachdem auf Borkum schon so viele Cafés eingegangen sind - man denke an die legendären Ganseliesel und Aggen - und auch das Kaffeepöttchen hat das Backen aufgegeben, freut man sich über die Wiedereröffnung des Kluntje.Hier erwartet einen ein Kuchenbuffet, wie es sich gehört und man hat die Qual der Wahl. Uns hat ganz besonders die Ostfriesentorte gemundet - ausgezeichnet!NB: Man kann auch ohne weiteres ein Stückchen sich einpacken lassen und nach Hause nehmen.

Super Location am schönsten Platz der Promenade. GroÃes Lob an die Inhaber. Macht so weiter und lasst die Besucher genieÃen. Es ist genau das was auf Borkum fehlte.Wir 60iger geborene chillen mit unseren 20 jährigen Kindern in einer der coolsten Location auf dem schönsten Sandhaufen der Nordsee. I only tried a cake and coffee - both excellent. It is homemade and a combination of recipes for Kuchen from different parts - Alsatian Apple Pie, Cherry Chocolate without Gluten, Blueberry Cheese Cake. Food looks great, prices are economic. Such a pleasant place - a place to visit and enjoy. Highly recommended.
