Grande Cache is a town in west-central Alberta, Canada, located 145 kilometres (90 mi) northwest of Hinton and 435 kilometres (270 mi) west of Edmonton. It is located in the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16, between Highway 40 and the Smoky River, at the northern border of Alberta's Rockies. The town is the gateway to the Willmore Wilderness Park.

Visited on a personal recommendation, happy I tried it. Food is great and HUGE portions. Staff were friendly, outgoing and very attentive - checked to see how everything was a few times (but maybe not the most professional – chatting with coworkers about friends/rumors etc.).

My husband and I were recommented the Mountainview Family Restaurant by our Front Desk Clerk and we had dinner there. My husband had a double bone, stuffed porkchop with Cabernet Sauce, dauphene potatoes and fresh vegetables, I had the home made fish and chips which were made with cod fish and both meals were fantastic! Excellent value for money and the chef is a real star. Home made sauces, fresh food and excellent attention to detail. I HIGHLY recommend eating at this restaurant!

Best beef dip ever. Check out photo's. Homemade quiche & potato & bacon soup, fabulous. Yes they serve beer. Coconut steamed tea was so tastey. Great place for breakfast & lunch. Owned by a friendly couple who love to cook. Very clean establishment. Would totally recommend this bistro. Lots of tables, even a party area. Across the parking lot from Super A

Good food, good service and good drinks. Nice place to have supper with no children running around screaming. Hosts a UFC/Boxing fight night. I highly recommend this location.

We were given breakfast menus at 1130am.. When we asked for lunch menus, the waitress stared at us like we were crazy... She was completely incompetent... She didn't know the menu at all and couldn't answer any of our questions, she had to come back twice to re-confirm what we did order... Once our food finally arrived, we could only eat half as she still got it wrong... We didn't see her again until we were done so we couldn't even send it back to be corrected.. The tomatoes and lettuce were disgusting, the fries were undercooked and mushy... The pop was flat and watered down. The water had something floating in it. The cutlery was dirty. We will never be going back!

I cannot say anything good about this place. If they arent giving you the wrong order they forget to put things in your order that you specifically askes for. Some days they dont even open when they are supppsed to be. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

Ate here several times now and tried about half the menu. Prices are reasonable and food is consistently great. Bento box pretty standard, good sashimi, but I prefer getting 2 or 3 rolls to mix and match over tea. Lost one star for service, another consistent thing. Friendly staff, just slow and not always easy to find when you need something. I'm not sure if the menu is meant to be ironic, but don't let the plastic books with silly pictures scare you away.

I love going to Barney's at least once a week. The food is amazing. We have tried the beef dip, captain burguer, barney's burguer (our favorite) cadillac chicken wings and suicide are awesome, and Irish Nachos. Everything we have tried is very good. They have very high food quality. Jen and Mike the chef are so personable, great service. That's why we keep coming back as much as we can. It's so worthy to try out Barney's.
