Östersund (pronounced [œstɛˈʂɵnd] ( listen); Southern Sami: Staare) is an urban area (city) in Jämtland in the middle of Sweden. It is the seat of Östersund Municipality and the capital of Jämtland County. Östersund is located at the shores of Sweden's fifth largest lake, Storsjön, opposite the island Frösön, and is the only city in Jämtland. Östersund is the region's cultural and economical centre and by tradition a city of trade and commerce. Östersund had one of the most extensive garrisons in Sweden prior to its closure in the early-21st century. The city is the Mid Sweden University's largest campus site with approximately 7,000 students. With a total population of 44,327 (2010) Östersund is the 22nd most populous city in Sweden, the 46th most populous city in Scandinavia, and by far the largest inland city in Northern Sweden.

Alot of time spent waiting for servers as they seemed to be too few at work. When we finally got to order out food and drinks it did not take to long. Good steaks, sides was ok. Friendly staff but need more people working.Thanks for your review and we hope to see you again :)

But yet it's far from being a self-playing piano.Beautiful open design in Nordic style.The menu is small but pretentious and has a local touch which is a big plus.A Nordic-style menu setting but today I do not have time for this this late evening.A little inexperienced waitress completely failed to interpret my wishes about wine.Fried charfillet with browned butter emulsion, acidified raw food served with french fries in a 1/3 portion of what a fish and chips fast food outlet would have offered.Good but not entirely impressed by the performance.What "stains" the visit was cloth napkins with oil stains and the same as for the fabric on the chairs.Hello! A Monday night in January maybe you should be happy to find a restaurant that is open.It is obvious that Ãstersund residents do not go out.There are lots of pub chains , Bishop hold a decent minimum level.Good range of draft and bottled beers. Menu is the most classic, no curiosity stands out.

Visited this restaurant on a friday night, but still it was quiet and nice having a good meal. The portions are quite big and well prepared. The servise was good and the waiter was friendly. There could have been a little lighter atmosphere inside. It was a little bit to dark to read the menu.

Vi har fått rekommendation att äta här på vår genomresa. Vi valde att beställa sju serveringar där vi får dela rätterna. Alla rätter är jättegoda och vi får en mycket härlig smakupplevelse. Highly recommend the local cheese & charcuterie sharing plate. The guy looking after us was excellent. Very friendly and helped us organise a taxi to Faviken for the following day. Good selection of beverages and good value for money. Thank you :)

Had a fabulous meal. Saw the reviews and thought Iâd give it a try. The meal was just lovely. Really tasty , pasta , beef in a lovely sauce , couldnât finish it all which was a shame because it was delicious. Lovely environment also and the staff are really happy and pleasant.
