Muzeum Zamkowe w Pszczynie

Reviewed By TassieTravellers99 - Launceston, Australia

This large castle is set at the head of a beautiful park and borders the local town square. The tour was self guided with an excellent audio guide and information boards along the way. The armoury in the basement was an extensive collection over several rooms and was our personal highlight but the Mirror Room and the chambers of the prince and Daisy were also well presented. Separate to the main palace are the stables which house a couple of old coaches and an extensive photography exhibition that complimented the castle tour. The only drawbacks were the need to wear slippers for the tour and the number of security staff following your every move was excessive. Note that despite the website being silent bags of any size beyond a small handbag must be checked before entering. Well worth setting aside a couple of hours.

Kaiserhof Fromazeria

Fromazeria Kaiserhof is a unique and charming place located in the Silesia region where you can find wide range of cheeses from all over the Europe, wines from Poland and Israel and... chocolates filled with cheese. Pszczyna as the "Pearl of Silesia" seems to be perfect place for the growing trend of eating cheeses with the different types of wine. Sounds Yummy!?Come over
