Reviewed By Slaw1Clean, spacious room with a decent balcony, comfy bed, fair water pressure in the shower, nice restaurant (very good onion soup) and a carpark across the street. Quiet and clean place. It saved my stay in the area after I discovered Carpe Diem hotel was a bit of a kip.

Reviewed By Ad vbeen here withsome friends for walking in the area, and sleeping and eating in this hotel. The rooms are a bit small, and all noices are heard. but it clean and the people are very nice. The food is good, and more then enough. the most important is that you have the feeling you are with family.

Reviewed By jljuboMaartje&Erwin will make you feel at home. Friendly and relaxed with a lot of great advice how to spend your free time. Nice, clean and simple rooms. Great wifi. I recommend highly to take a diner option. You will have the best meal ever for the lovest posible price. Erwin is an excellent chef.

Sehr schönes, idyllisches Haus, ideales Ausflugsziel
Reviewed By Kirsten PWir haben in unserem Aufenthalt in Kirchhundem 2 mal dieses Haus angesteuert. Wir haben nicht hier übernachtet sondern den wunderschön idyllisch gelegenen Biergarten besucht. Sehr freundlicher, schneller und kompetenter Service. Auf unsere 2 Kleinkinder wurde freundlich reagiert, der Aufenthalt war beide Male sehr gelungen. Die Küche selbst könnenw ir nur eingeschränkt bewerten, an beiden Aufenthaltstagen gab es nur Speisen aus der Vesperkarte. Diese waren zwar recht "simpel", aber lecker. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat absolut gepasst. Gerne wieder!

Never again - hotel manager doesn't know a thing about hospitality
Reviewed By Roeland80Don't go to Hotel Carpe Diem! In many ways it's a disappointing experience, but the most important problem is the total lack of hospitality from the rude manager. The customer is not right, on the contrary, you should be happy to be there. Examples: "Could I order a special dessert tomorrow? It's my wife's birthday, and she has a dairy allergy." Answer: "You should organize that yourself, we don't do allergies." "Buffet is between 6 and 8, but come early, the food is not getting any better." Wifi is very slow and only works at the reception. Lobby closes at 10.30pm, everybody is sent away. Bar closes at 10pm, but already at 9.45 you can't order anything anymore. Nuts or little bites are not on the menu. Rooms are not cleaned, consider yourself lucky with some new toilet paper. "Fitness room" (I hesitate to use this term) is covered in dust and hairs. Machines are ramshackle, broken, or not plugged-in. Our request beforehand to get a big bed rather than two separate one-person beds, was not answered, and ignored. Even the comfort rooms, which are slightly more expensive, are quite small. Also, there were mold and spider webs on the ceiling. Of course I discussed all this with the manager. He refused to take responsibility or apologize and on top of that we got yelled at for bringing a bottle of wine into the lobby.

Reviewed By Jen2204Gut, für Zeitreisende aus den 60-70er Jahren mag die Einrichtung fortschrittlich sein, aber Super-Matratze, Super-Dusche, super-sauber und ein Frühstück für eine 4-köpfige Familie ( ich war allein! ) Nachdem ich angemerkt hatte, dass ich keine Wurst esse, hat sie noch nen "Käseladen" überfallen...glaube ich :-) Sehr sehr Gäste-oientiert, super-herzlich. SO NETT! Ich werde, falls ich nochmals in die Ecke komme, gerne wieder dort "wohnen". Vielen Dank für eine der freundlichsten Übernachtungen, der Punkt Abzug ist für das braun-in grün-Ambiente...
