It's a tourist trap. We were hungry and it seemed the only place open Sunday nite along the river... Stari grad. What saved the nite was Jan the young server. His enthusiasm. His mannerism. His will to serve and be nice to customers. Jan wants to be a film maker and all power to him. Bravo bravo Jan. Back to food. Guys fix it. The location rocks. Change the chef and fix the food over nite. Me thinks humbly. Hope someone is listening !!!No fotos. I was not feeling inspired. Sorry!!

The grilled sandwiches and strawberry lemonade are hard to beat - the milk shakes come with a doughnut on the top and the service is delightful. Together with the perfect riverside location this is a great place to watch the world go by over a leisurely lunch.

Nice little bar with good cocktails and hamburgers. Perfect spot to have a drink for a fair price and to eat something as well. The staff is alright with the service but nothing extra ordinary. Lots of bars in a row along the river so I would definitely recommend this one.

Were welcomed as we came in from the rain and were seated promptly. The menu has changed and some of the choices I had liked before were missing from the menu. The food took a while and was served very hot. My husband enjoyed the goulash and I enjoyed the sausage plate. Apart from fun regional Slovenian wines there are numerous dishes to choose from to accompany the wine.Had a lunch then the following day a dinner and even though the wait staff were completely different the quality remained excellent. 110euros for 4 for dinner seemed good value. And you can sit so near the river too.

After walking for a few hours in Ljubljana, you can felt a hunger, and so did we. Researching TA before our visit to Ljubljana, Slovenska Hisa was my choice to discover it. Located on a very popular walk promenade by the river Ljubljanica you cannot miss it. Friendly staff and nice welcome is always a good sign. We ordered big coffee, apple juice, homemade ice tea and a plate of slovenian authentic food like cheesee and ham, eggs with bacon and dried tomato. Everything was very delicious, we were satisfied with location, service, food and price which was reasonable.Recommend for a visit !

Standing just outside of the most touristy parts of Ljubljana but yet just across street from the old town, this restaurant offers great atmosphere and location.Although the steaks we ordered (ribeye and beefsteak) were medium-well on a well side although we ordered medium, they were both still very tasteful. Good quality meat and good preparation apparently. We mentioned that to the waiter and he immediately offered to replaced both steaks but since they we pretty good anyway, we just went ahead and ate them as they was. We got a complimentary dessert at the end as a token of apology for steaks being too cooked, a really nice gesture, many restaurants are not familiar with in many cases. A great waiter (blond guy with glasses) was waiting our table so also compliments to him for his entire service. The prices are also very reasonable for what you geat, so without a doubt a 5/5 general experience!
