Strange Experience
Reviewed By Steffen EI consider myself pretty easygoing when it comes to evaluating accommodations for a weekend getaway outside of the Tokyo metropolis. In my 22 years in Japan I have seen a variety of quality but there is always a minimum standard which is met... until we stayed here. When we arrived by taxi, we were greeted by the facility’s cheerful blue and white facade, which appeared weather worn but still neat, promising a relaxed and unpretentious inside. Going through the entrance, we experienced the first oddity: no sign of any front desk nor staff to greet us. We felt that we were intruding into someone’s private residence, and half expected to be shooed away. Eventually we found our way to the dining area where we found one of the young staff members who, with some confusion at first, managed to find “Owner”. He located our room key, and while still on the phone pointed us to our room. Our room, with all of the charm of a college dorm room, contained three single beds, a narrow sofa which has seen better days, a TV mounted high up on one wall, and a small refrigerator with no means of plugging into an electric outlet. Our view out the window was to the tennis court below and Sagami Bay in the distance. Then there are the baths. One reason we chose this place was for the authentic hot spring water, which is relatively uncommon on the Manazuru Peninsula, and at least for this we were not disappointed. There is one outside bath and one inside bath. Men and women have access to either according to a fixed schedule. The outside bath is not for those shy about displaying themselves in public. The bath area, with minimal shielding, looks directly onto a cluster of houses in the near distance and the tennis court below. The showers for the outside bath did not have hot water, and since were were told not to use the water from the bath itself to wash ourselves we endured a cold shower. The indoor bath was much better, with a reasonably large shower area and proper hot water. The bath itself was long and narrow, like one lane of a swimming pool. The bath water had a faint smell of sulfur, confirming the claim that it was a genuine hot spring. Based on the reviews we read, we had high hopes for the dinner. The common dining room with its colorful table cloths and homey atmosphere reinforced our expectation. Yet upon sitting down it became apparent that both the quality and quantity of food was not so good. The meal included a bowl of sashimi, green salad, grilled fish, crab, miso soup, and some other small dishes. The fish and seafood itself was good quality, but all cold and simply prepared. The rice was soggy, and we finished the meal wanting to order some hot dishes a la carte (which was not permitted). Our conclusion was that not much thought nor care went into the preparation, aside from the seafood ingredients themselves. Breakfast was better, if ordinary. We had grilled fish, a hot spring egg, shumai, miso soup with crab, and more soggy rice. One highlight was a common area on the second floor where you could have a drink from a vending machine while reading comic books. A final incident occurred when we were leaving. “Owner” had not confirmed the final price we needed to pay, and I had to dig up my email receipt from the travel agency to do so. Manazuru had such a lovely and peaceful environment, that it is difficult to have a bad time. Inspite our sub par experience at Pension Shiosai, we look forward to returning to the region.

Reviewed By 655AlinaWe went to this place just to get an image of real Japan because we had a chance to see big cities before. So we were interested in seeing a rural area. To cut a long story short, our experience was superb! I taveled with my mother and both of us were really impressed by the hotel and the place. The host was really friendly and helpful and even gave us a lift to the station when we checked out. Food was very yummy and fish was so fresh that it melted in the mouth. We could taste many different types of fish and even though my mother doesn't like raw fish very much, she ate everything with big appetite. The bathroom and the room were clean and comfortable. We could see the sea from the dining room and the hall and there was a beatiful garden in front of the entrance.

目の前が漁港で立地と眺望は抜群！
Reviewed By spand0114真鶴全般に言えるのですが、こちらも「ひとり泊」は原則お断りだそうです。 今回はダメはもともとでお願いして宿泊できました。 ３階建ての本館に６階建ての別館があります。別館はおもに学生の合宿などに使用されるようです。今回は本館３階の和室で海側。窓からの眺望は真下の漁港から遠くの外洋まで見渡せて抜群でした。エアコンは静かで防音も悪くないと思いました。 部屋にトイレ、洗面所とお風呂はついています。湯船もユニットバスとは違い広くノビノビ湯に浸かれます。残念だったのがシャワーがチョロチョロしか出ずにほとんど機能しませんでした。 夕食は目の前にある「葵寿司」で地魚の握りを堪能できました。 カウンターで地元の方や観光客の方々と語らいながら楽しいひと時を過ごせました。 旅館での食事よりこちらをお勧めします。 朝食は至って普通。可もなく不可もなく。 真鶴駅からは坂を下って徒歩約１５分弱の道のり。近所に自販機以外にはコンビニもないので、必要なものは駅からの途中に２軒あるコンビニで購入しておきましょう。 総じて、ハードは古いですが家族経営で宿の人も親切なのでお薦めできる宿です。 支払いはクレジットカード不可です。ひとりの場合は会計は先払いになります。

Reviewed By えっちゃん2016家族旅行で初めて利用させて頂きました。評判通りマスターは愛想がよく素晴らしい人柄でとても居心地がよかったです。 朝食も美味しく夜食は新鮮な刺身やステーキなど特に金目鯛に感動しました。食事後もしばらくしてからにカクテルを頂きましたがペンションでカウンターバーがあるのは驚きでした。ただ温泉にのんびり入りたい方は通常の旅館に行かれた方がよろしいと思います。ペンション内は清掃が行き届いており、快適に過ごせましたが他のお客様が入浴に来ないかと少し気を使いましたがまた家族でBBQの時期に行きたいとおもいます。またよろしくお願いします。

とにかく安く泊まる
Reviewed By Navigator805068仕事で湯河原、真鶴に月一通っているため、旅行サイトで安い宿を探していた。希望する宿泊ポイントは 1.素泊まりできるか朝食付きでも安価 2.無料駐車場がある 3.個室を一人で使える その条件に合ったうちの一つがみよし旅館。以前からこの場所に旅館があったのは知っていたが初めて泊まった。 今年8月からオーナーが韓国人女性になった。 以前からの「みよし旅館」という名前は変更しなかった。 現在50歳ぐらいの方で24歳の時に日本へきたとのこと。 日本語は充分通じる。 ただし、韓国の方なので日本の宿の普通をご存じない場合がある。 例えば、部屋で飲むお茶のセット、ポットは置いて 無かったが、部屋でお茶を飲みたいと言えば用意してくれた。 風呂は共同浴場で、常時お湯が湯船に入っていない。 お風呂に入りたいと言えばお湯を満たしてくれた。 宿泊代は平日一泊 朝食付き、夕飯無しで税込 ¥6,000。 この時の朝食はイングリッシュブレックファースト。 パンとソーセージ2本、目玉焼き、サラダ。 美味しかったし量も満足でした。 季節によって和食や韓国お粥があるようだ。 夕飯は食堂で韓国料理を注文すれば食べれる。 近くにお店は無いため、車で真鶴駅近くまで 外出しないといけない。主に2人前セット料理が¥3,000。 今回、単品で石焼きビビンバ¥1,200と瓶ビール1本¥600を 頼みました。 満足な点 1.オーナーは優しく気遣ってくれる。 2.料理は美味しい。 3.窓から見る真鶴港は綺麗。日の出、夕焼け、夜景共に綺麗。 それ以外は我慢してください。 以上
