The restaurant is located in the cellar of the Geniesser Altes Hotel Gymnasium with a very cosy atmosphere. The dinner we had, main course and dessert, was very nice and tasty. Very good wine. The waiters were also friendly and good.

The place is located in the very center of this nice small North German town. The forniture is nice, with some old cupboards, much wood paneling and so on, but some of the ornaments would need a good clean, plus some of the chairs lack the upholstery. They speak a little English. They serve good local food and beers, with a rich menu of meat (mainly pork) and fish.Service is very slow. The place is airy but the smell when you live is intense. We have been there in winter with freezing temperatures, and we were seated close not far from the door, which was very unpleasant cause every time it opened we were reached by a very cold air stream.Average prices.Nice, but there are many restaurants in Husum and I think this is not the best.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and dined for once in the hotel restaurant every evening. Food quality was consistently high, with inventive and in some cases original dishes. The wine list has a good selection of wines by glass (0.2 l). Every night we enjoyed the meal and the relaxing atmosphere in this small and intimate restaurant with its attentive and friendly staff.

We found the place in TripAdvisor (where else). My wife ordered the spare ribs. She got a huge portion and liked every bite. I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel with cheese sauce; a combination which is very interesting. The food was excellent, the service efficient and friendly and the price was nice. Definitely a place to go if you like pub food.

what a surprise, the food was not average, not just edible, but absolutely great The fish was cooked to perfection and great with the noodles. Unfortunately this restaurant is not situated in my neighbourhood, or I would come more often. The price is affordable, the service and interior very good. Will come again.

The food you get here is good traditional German food, nothing special or fancy or 'hip'. We ordered the backfish and fish platter, both were very nice.However, I would like to compliment the staff, who made our experience very pleasant. After three days in this area and only finding fattening fried food we discovered Glúcklich am Meer. Tasty food and for us vegetarians some great choices. The restaurant has great atmosphere and all the girls were so friendly and helpful.
