I wanted to eat breakfast before catching the ferry. I asked at the information center and they told me to go to "Louis" because they have a good value morning set.I was not disappointed - boiled egg, salad, toast (thick bread) and coffee all for around 600yen. The shop is run by one lady who makes lots of patchwork and handcrafts. I think there is only "morning" or "coffee" on the menu, but it is good value.

La Cigale is a fantastic place to visit - an unexpected gem. I've been twice, and the food was excellent both times. The atmosphere is really welcoming and they use great fresh ingredients. I particularly recommend the pizza! The owners are kind, enthusiastic and sociable, so please visit them. The restaurant is hidden in the Goka countryside, so can be a bit hard to find, but it should come up on Google Maps. As a tip, it's best to ring ahead, and check that they're open when you want to go.
