The RIU Classic Hotels offer comfortable rooms and excellent facilities with great leisure and relaxation facilities, as well as international gastronomy. Enjoy a relaxing holiday - whether alone, with family, partner or friends! The location is ideal because of its proximity to Burgas Airport (60 km) or Varna Airport (65km) and next city Sunny Beach (about 34 km) and invites you to explore the area. The hotel has 318 comfortably furnished rooms and offers many amenities. Relax in the spa area or get in shape at the gym. 1 outdoor pools, 1 children's pool, 1 indoor pool, spa center. RiuLand Kids Club (ages 4-7 & 8-12 years) and for adults, day and evening entertainment. For lovers of gastronomy, we offer live cooking stations at our main restaurant, Spanish and Asian specialty restaurants, as well as 5 bars.

Reviewed By hannahmR4736DQWe travelled to the Riu Helios Bay mid may, 2 adults and an 8 year old. First thing we noticed was how friendly the reception staff were, we arrived around 3.30am and were offered food from one of the small restaurants and given a big bottle of water. Room Our room was on the 7th floor which had a view of the football pitch and partial sea view. Balcony was massive! Could have done with (and fit) sun loungers! Room itself was fantastic and clean, huge king size bed plus a small double in a snug area. Shower was totally amazing, room lovely and clean. Fridge was small but freezing (it froze some of our water lol) Needed a kettle, luckily we brought one and then brought up coffee cups, sugar etc from the poolside/restaurant every day. Cleaners came ever day, did a lovely job. Food Drinks were lovely, especially the cocktails (totally recommend the Bulgarian Blue!) Red/white wine nice enough, Rose a bit sweet. Plenty of options poolside including hot drinks and slushies. Was a bit disappointed with poolside snacks, mid morning snacks tended to be the same stuff as breakfast, fruit, cake, cereal & toast. You weren't able to take the plates poolside, so it was either sit inside and eat or take stuff outside in napkins. Afternoon snack bar was mainly pizza & fries, again with cake and fruit. Not enough choice to be honest. Restaurant was nice enough, like someone said on here before food not piping hot. Lots of meat on offer all the time, chicken, pork (always) veal, etc. Pizza, pasta, lots of salads, chips etc. Themed nights were nice particularly the Bulgarian night which the waiting staff dressed in traditional clothes and tables decorated the same. Breakfast the usual options of toast, pastries, cereal, continental, cooked breakfast etc. Not sure why they served hot carrots at breakfast lol They also have a Spanish restaurant (didnt visit) and Asian, both you need to book in advance. Entertainment The animation team were brilliant, lots of games for adults to get involved with such as french bowles and other wooden type games. Kids club was a bit disappointing, my son wanted to join in but the activities seemed to be very young and the children were mainly made up of 4-5 year old girls. Evening entertainment varied from Bingo to bollywood dancing. There was a kids disco (with usual type of dances Superman etc) from 8.30-9. My son loved this but it could have been longer, or maybe more activities for kids somewhere else. Pros & cons Both main & kids pools were absolutely freezing, not sure what they could do to help this but it was really disappointing Beach is steps away and is beautiful! Not much in the area, few shops, park, beach. Don't expect to be walking out to bars, lots of shops etc Overall fantastic hotel, would definitely return for a week of chill. Really clean & friendly. They could do with upgrading pool and food in restaurant/ snack bar though!

Reviewed By PloppyjobsHotel is nice enough, clean, but 2 of 3 restaurants were closed, steam and sauna closed, beach bar closed, pool too cold to swim in and aquapark, which was rhe only reason I visited this hotel was closed for 5 of the 7 days. Obzor itself seemed almost totally closed. Nothing walkable from this hotel and all along the beach there are only other all inclusive resorts meaning nothing you can visit. Give it a miss unless you only like lying on a beach

Reviewed By sylviagK8652XQAmazing hotel with beautiful location and very friendly staff. We had a wonderful view of the sea. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a large choice of drinks at the bar and the food at the restaurant was just delicious. There was high-end spa and quality equipment of the gym. Special thanks to the reception staff who went to the extra mile to have us make the best of our stay. I can only highly recommend this hotel and will definitely go again.

Reviewed By Crawford1982Just got back from a week stay here,hotel is nice,rooms good size and well cleaned.Pool area is lovely too with great access to the beautiful beach.Great selection of food.Most of the staff are ok apart from the young lad who wears a shirt and tie spends a lot of time on the lobby bar, he's very rude,horrible and talks about you in their language as we witnessed a few times and he done it to me twice, very arrogant and ignorant just a horrible little dick to be honest and lucky I never slapped him.Should be sacked Apart from him we had a lovely holiday

Obzor Beach Resort Sea Front Apartment. Relaxing setting, long beaches, five outdoor swimming pools, restaurants, proximity to a small town. Plenty of opportunities for doing sports, socializing and enjoying the great Bulgarian cuisine. The resort is popular with families. There are plenty of daily activities for children and adults.
Good but poor cleanliness
Reviewed By karol_nao2022I spent the summer holiday with my family in this hotel. The resort environment, equipment and proximity to the beach was perfect. The food was tasty we had a lot of options. I appreciated they always had a vegetarian option. But what I was not satisfied with was the cleanliness of the room. They did not clean our room every day. Not only had we to ask for it in advance, but even after this service, it was not clean enough. Anyway, the resort does not correspond with the 4-star hotel classification.

Reviewed By JoannaK1367This hotel does not deserve even 1 star. The service is missing in practice, the people working there does not know why they are there at all. Rude behavior ... 2 persons with no experience are working at the restaurant at the reception, they are cleaning the rooms etc...
