If you are looking for a pub and food that comes along with it - Finnegan's is definitely a good choice. We had the lamb stew, mixed grill and entrecote - and enjoyed it together with our Guiness. Nothing special, but plenty of food well prepared and very reasonably priced.

Location is superb in a quiet garden courtyard. Good weather that day certainly helped but I can see how I can enjoy the place even on a gloomy day. My friend and I both had the croquette on bread, which was very nice. The selection was not huge but adequate. Service was good. We felt welcomed and our orders were taken promptly with patience to explain the Dutch menu, and the food was served without too much of a wait. Go here to drink beer, don't go for the food. This pub has a whole lot of beers on tap and many, many more by the bottle. There is a large chalkboard on the wall that lists the beers and the alcohol content. Some, like the Blond Bush, are very strong.Prices are reasonable. The place is a little quirky, with the witches on Broom sticks. Apparently they used to burn witches at the stake nearby.

If you're hungry, and looking for a quick but satisfying bite and happen to be in Deventer, then I strongly recommend Happy Tosti.We had two different Tostis, the spicy chorizo and the Mexican and both did not disappoint. I'm a big guy so I went for the value for money double up and was happy I did.The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the vibe is awesome. Also great value for money.Our little monkey (daughter) also loved the food and the swing chairs were an unexpected bonus.
