We booked the restaurant after Reading the Tripadvisor reviews. This was out first night in Holland and as it was a Saturday we wanted to make sure we were booked into somewhere recommended. We booked off the resuaturant website. This is a quality restaurant. We both had the weekly meny 29.5 euros. There was no choice but the food was exceptional. Water was also provided and liberally refilled. The bread was delicious and also refilled several times. The amuse bouche were lovely. The service was superb and I cannot think of any reason not to give this place 5 stars.

Had beautiful dinner with colleague, took menu with wine pairing, which truly impressive, while staying at hotel.
Service, food quality and location is truly perfect, both for business and private events. entrance to property is impressive,
don't forget to close with whisky for after dinner at their whisky

We ended up in this restaurant for a late anniversary celebration. It is situated outside Epe with a large parking lot which was packed (always a good sign). The restaurant is cabin style with various Texas style signs. We were received by a cowboy and escorted to our table by a cowgirl, not bad. The menu is typical Texas (or US) al kind off big steaks, the biggest is 1 kg T-bone. Maybe because the place was packed but it took a long time to get our steaks on the table. The quality was good as where the typical side dices. It was a cool experience, will go back.

They serve a variety of cold and warm appetizers, different fish dishes (cod, salmon, tuna, seafood) and very good meat dishes (very juicy steaks, spare ribs, sate, ribeye) in a very nice, initimate setting. Very friendly people. Open kitchen to show you what is going on. Recommended as one of the best in Zutphen.

Markelo has not much to offer as far as good food is concerned. Welcome exception to this poor conclusion is il campanile, where proud Italians honour their country by serving delicious Italian food. Apart from the crispy pizza's and pasta's, there is much to enjoy of other Italian specialties, always prepared with fresh ingredients. Recommendable is the fixed menu, daily offered at a fair price. And the winecard is good enough to satisfy "connaisseurs". Living nereby, my wife and I love to visit this restaurant on a regular base.

It's the second time we had dinner here. The first time is 1,5 year ago and it's still good. Great service and great food. I love the personal touch they put in the service, jokes here and there.
And totally no problem if you take 2 starters and a dessert instead of a whole 3 course meal. And last but not least, free tap water on the table.
Definitely going back!

An absolutely top restaurant, not cheap and worth every penny. Atmosphere is modern, relaxed in a spacious well decorated set of dining rooms. The staff behaves professional and friendly. Both add to the complete experience of dining in this fine restaurant. The experience is completed by an amazing top-chef supplying totally new tastes and food experience, cooked to perfection for the guests.
We took the larger 'experience" dinner with a wine arrangement (BOB, meaning 1/2 glasses). The dining started with 3 sets of amuses, all totally different in shape, taste and experience. The one I absolutely loved is salmon tartar with red beet. Another excellent new experience was an amuse on top of a lime. After those 6 amuses, the dinner started. Makrel cooked at 42 degrees, with fresh veggies, followed by lobster with various pees, gamba's with complicated sauces, trout with a crunch, all the fish cooked to absolute perfection. extremely challenging to achieve that . Than it was time for something healthy.. duck liver. The main course (if one could say that) was a piece of perfectly prepared lamb, with spiced sweet potato. If this was not enough, four Deserts followed; a fresh spicer, season fruit, framboise, season fruit, strawberry and nut cake.
In general: The chef experiments with new spices, from my extensive travel experience I tend to say that the spices lean towards the Middle Eastern region.
What we especially liked is that the amount of protein was limited and the amount of vegetables is excellent. The variety, taste, and quality of the vegetables was absolutely outstanding. The portions are smal enough to enjoy it all and big enough to leave you not wanting anything to eat anymore for a year.
Can I say any negative? NO!

Boas

This is a traditional French restaurant in the famous "Wall street" of Deventer so the location is perfect. Don't expect innovative or experimental dishes. Quality of the ingredients is high and the courses are very well prepared. Staff is attentive and very friendly. The interior is a bit old fashioned with still lives and such, but very neat.
We had the 7-course menu. I was not really impressed by the wines to be honest. They were not very distinct. You can choose between Evian, Perrier or tap water. (If I can give a tip to the restaurant use glass bottles instead of the plastic ones to give it a more luxury touch.)
Parking within walking distance and best value is best at the so called 'Beestenmarkt' behind the railway station. (You can park you car even closer if you want for much higher rates.)
We were lucky to get the best table (in my opinion) which is the table in the middle at the window at Wall street-side. They also have a Terrace, but I saw a lot of smokers there so glad to be seated inside after the aperitif.
