Wonderful food and service in an intimate restaurant. Federico and Marco are delightful hosts serving Umbrian and Tuscany fare. The appetizer of sardines on crushed tomatoes was a real treat. The handmade Ravioli filled with burrata in tomato sauce was the best I've had. You can make reservations online at their website. Highly recommended.

In one of the so called "9-little-streets" in the centre of Amsterdam, we found this lovely restaurant, recommended by a good friend. Never been there before, but it exist already for 10 years (!). So a new discovery in my own city! Great and super friendly service, the food was amazing! The dishes looked like little pieces of art. Great wine too (bit expensive € 80). Will go back for sure!If you make a reservation and you are just 2 persons, ask for a table at the window - overlooking the cute little side street.

De Pizzabakkers Haarlemmerdijk

We were staying in a hotel in the area. We didn’t not want to go back into the city centre for dinner with a young child so we went to De Pizzabakkers on account of the very good reviews. The place was busy (always a good sign) but they managed to accommodate us promptly. The pizzas were nice - the dough was thin and crispy and the toppings fresh. Highly recommended. The only point to note is that the place is rather small. If you are going with a big group it’s worth checking availability beforehand.
