Fuges (Fige), Gesztenyes (Chestnut), Mandulas (Almond), and Oreg pince (Old cellar): cozy and comfortable houses, for 5-6 guests on the southern slopes of St. Gyorgy-hegy (St. George Hill), welcoming visitors all year!We established our young family estate in 2012 on the volcanic soil of Szt. Gyorgy-hegy, where 3 connecting vineyards with special qualities make the altogether 19 hectars big estate on the southen slopes of the mountain. In our vineyards we use ecologic cultivation sustaining the local natural wildlife and wild flora, continuously keeping eye on creating the balance and natural harmony of the grape. We spend plenty of time in the vineyard, therefore no day passes by without meeting the deers, rabbits, foxes or the twittery birds. Our focus is planting the old Hungarian grape varieties, the dry white wines, which can show the character of the vineyards, the blends and the sparkling ones made with traditional methods. We offer:dinner set and dishes, kettle, tea, coffee machine with capsules, WIFI, books and board games, hiking, walking the "Wine paths", checking nature trails, cycling, having picnic in the vineyard, wine tasting in the hunting blinds, trip to the top of the hill, bathing, other programs organized close to the cellar, gift bottle of wine in the fridge

I highly recommend visiting this winery and staying in the beautiful refurbished press houses on property. If you are looking for something different in a natural setting, you will not be disappointed

Disappointed

Reviewed By szabolcsh199

My family and I wanted to visit for wine tasting and wine shopping. While talking on the intercom, they already made us feel that they were not happy with our 4 year old son, but after promising that he would not be noisy, they let us in. They did not tell us where to go inside the property and then for over 15 minutes afterwards, no one in heaven's name came to see us. After another little wait we left. Very disappointing and not worthy of the area and the friendly character of the people around.

Wow great food local wines. If you come be prepared to taste the real Hungary. This is a family winery that until recently could not exist in the former Hungary. The couple that owns the winery actually bought back the family land. It is a great story along with great food and local wine made o sight. We visited this and two other wineries as part of our Viking tour but this trip is in all of the Budapest guides. If you like your wine you will ot be disappointed. The Zenit grape is a local grape only grown in this region of Budapest you will not find anywhere else. The food was excellent. Where do I start steamed then baked chicken was awesome and I am not a real chicken lover. Home made pickles and crepes with a walnut sauce were awesome. The wine oh my the wine this is the white wine area and the sauvignon blanc are awesome. The region is starting to grow the Pinot Nior grape and there are some nice roses but they have room to grow with their pinots. We visited three wineries and brought back four wines. I love them all. Small scale quality wines is the goal here in Hungary and they are well on the way. You will not find these lovely wines in your local store but if you find a Hungarian wine I recommend you try it. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Báza

Reviewed By Kovács T

Jól felszerelt, modern, kényelmes vendégház. Két család számára is kiváló, pihenésre alkalmas hely. Minden megvan ami a kikapcsolódást segíti: jól felszerelt konyha, pihenő és játszó részek a gyerekeknek is. Kinti sütési, főzési lehetőségek. Ezekhez társul a csendes, csodálatos környezet. A vendéglátók kedvesek, segítőkészek, udvariasak. Kiválóan alkalmas a szállás a környéken való kirándulások kiindulási helyéül. Ajánlom mindenkinek aki szereti a nyugodt, csendes és szép természeti környezetet.
