Río Ceballos is a city and tourist destination in the Province of Córdoba located in the center of Argentina. Río Ceballos is located at the foot of the Sierras Chicas, about 30 km north of the provincial capital of Córdoba and is part of the Greater Córdoba area. Río Ceballos is accessed from Córdoba by taking Route E-53 north passing the Airport or by Cordoba City through Villa Allende, Mendiolaza and Unquillo, vía Route E-57. The Natural Hydrologic Reserve "La Quebrada Park" ("Parque La Quebrada") is 7 km beyond Río Ceballos taking the San Martin Avenue till its end.

El dique es lindo, algo sucio y descuidado, con muy poco podría estar hermoso. Las caminatas por los alrededores valen la pena!!

Horseback riding trips in Córdoba, Argentina If you are looking for the best way to acknowledge the nature of the hills of Córdoba, share a typical meal with a gaucho, and discover a new way to relate to horses, this is the perfect trip for you. The idea of the trip is to enjoy a full day of horseback riding with a specialized guide. The day starts at 9:00 am and ends at 18:00 approximately. The guide himself will pick you up with his car wherever you are staying in Córdoba center, will drive you to the ranch "Estancia El Rosal" where the horses live, and later he will bring you back home. The day is divided in two parts so you can enjoy every minute without getting tired. At morning when you get to the ranch, the guide will lead you to know the place. It will take a while to get the horses ready because they live free at the Mountains. When everything is ready you will ride for about two hours on the well-trained horses using our particular way of riding: gaucho riding! Previous experience it is not needed, so don't worry about your fears, we will be taking care of you all the time and the horses are kind and easy. If you are an experienced rider, you will learn quickly our way to manage horses, and you will be free to try some running when the guide allows you. through the surroundding hills of the ranch (the amazing views are included). After that you will have a quantifull lunch (asado: our type of barbeque from argentina) with the best argentinian meat. Also there is a vegetarian menu available. When you are done with the food, you will rest a little (as much as you want) . After thet you will get on the horses again to ride through a different path than the first one. We recommend to bring: A camera, for the outstanding views and beautiful horses, long trousers, sunscreen, swimming suits for the river and hats for the sun

I can thoroughly recommend a day with Salvador in the Sierras Chicas. We were staying in Cordoba, and my fiancé and I were keen to sample some Argentinian horse riding in the local countryside. We found Salvador via Facebook, and thanks to some positive TripAdvisor reviews, decided to book a day experience. We are so glad we did, as it was arguably the best thing we did in Argentina! There is so much positive stuff we could say, but here are the main points... 1. We are both beginner horse riders, and I was particularly nervous about being on a horse. We mentioned this to Salvador and he gave us both gentle horses, meaning we had no trouble on the day. I absolutely loved the ride, and felt relaxed throughout. In addition, the way you ride is Salvador goes up front, and either his daughter/assistant is nearer the back - so if you've any issues, you're seconds away from some help. I trusted the whole experience. 2. The way our day was organised was perfect. We went for a longer 1.5-2hour ride before lunch, then enjoyed a basic but delicious asado for lunch (the steak was amazing), then we headed out for another 1 hour ride down towards a stream/river where we had a quick dip before heading back home. 3. Salvador is a fantastic host. He was really jolly and genuine, and seemed to really care that we were happy and having fun. His English is also very good - a bonus if like us, you can't really converse in Spanish. Our only tips would be to bring LOTS of water, suncream and possibly a hat. The weather was boiling, and some people got very sunburnt! Plus we couldn't buy water at the facility - so had to settle for a lemonade.

En innumerables ocasiones asistí a este espacio. Pienso que es la opción más destacable para disfrutar de espectáculos culturales en la región de Sierras Chicas.
El lugar es rústico, intimo, enclavado en un espacio natural maravilloso, muy disfrutable si se acude en horarios diurnos. Allí se pueden disfrutar de diversos espectáculos culturales, en general por la noche y sobre todo musicales, de gran calidad y para nada comerciales, es decir, muy recomendables.
En este sentido podemos decir que "la carta" (cultural) es de alta gama. En cuanto a las posibilidades gastronómicas del lugar son sencillas: empanadas, pizzas, comidas criollas y comidas rapidas. No hay platos de gran calidad porque, sencillamente, los platos a paladear no están sobre las mesas sino en el pequeño e íntimo escenario de los espectadores-comensales.
Una visita a Río Arriba es muy recomendable.

Muy fácil de llegar, el sendero es bien llano, no tiene complicaciones.
La cascada es hermosa y el agua bien fresca, recomiendo subirse a la cascada dando la vuelta por arriba, hay unos piletones muy disfrutables por la tarde!

The Calamuchita valley is relaxing and quite beautiful even though we visited immediately after the widespread wildfires. La Cumbrecita is over-rated but still a pleasant spot to kick back for a day; it's also a good base for a few 1-2 hr hikes. Villa Belgrano is a sad attempt to recreate a little bit of Bavaria in Argentina. Regrettably, while it has some nice restaurants the main street is more like a poor attempt at a Disney Theme Park.
